His distance learning class doesnt utilize ProctorU. 3/5 tests were on campus and I missed one because I was out of state to help my sister suffering from cancer. Dont take his distance learning class if youre going to be at an actual distance.

I took this class online during the summer. It was hard because I had to teach myself everything and would spend 30 hours a week on it. Theres 4 test and are 90% of your grade. Professor was ok for online class- helped when I went in for office hours and repiled to all emails. Do not recommend if you enjoy free time and do not get testing anxiety.

If youre not a strong math person dont take this professor hes more worried about his stand up jokes then teaching the material. He gives out tons of homework and actually grades hard on it. The test are hard enough which makes up most of your grade. He waited till the final exam to put in grades. Waste of time and money! Thanks cureton !

Does not interact with students. Only gave one resource which was math lab to do all assignments. I spent a cumulative of 78 hours on homework and quizzes for a potential 20 %. Took three weeks to grade a paper exam taken in person.

Comment:

I took MAT1033 with Cureton online for the fall 18 semester. Very clear and straightforward. He was easy to reach outside of normal hours. Responds quickly to emails and questions. There is a lot of homework, but if you pace yourself with one lecture and the homework per day, you'll be just fine.

Comment:

Always goes over homework at the beginning of class for anyone who has questions. There are 5 test and 5 group worksheets the day before every test. The worksheets are very similar to the test which is super helpful. MyMathLab is not required. He's a really good teacher who has no problem re-explaining something. Also offers extra credit.

Prof. Cureton is an excellent teacher. He is very honest on his grading and always explains the detail on all math. The way he teaches and talks to his student is great and he even has a great sense of humor. Homework is a must if your going to pass along with the 2 class projects. If you study and take note you should pass his class easily.

This was an online class, with online homework and quizzes. But any time I had a problem, he was there to help. The hardest part is staying on task with the online assignments. There are due dates, but no one to tell you to do it, except yourself.

If you like to take online courses you'll HATE taking this professors online Trigonometry class. This class is required to have 18-25+ designated hours of you staring at a screen a week. If you have that kind of time by all means take it! Beware, you have to know everything from the chapters before in order to move on in the class, or else you fail

He is a tough grader. He will make you lose lots of points for doing silly mistakes. I got D's in most of the tests, even though I studied for them. But he gave extra credit assignments to bring up test grades.

Very helpful. I'm not great at math, but Prof Cureton does a great job at showing you step by step all of the details. You won't get lost because he's there to help. He does make you show all of your work on the tests, but he explains everything to include. I'm doing better in the course than any other math I've taken!

The class is a cake walk. The material in it super easy. The teacher in the other hand is trash. If you don't show your work you will fail. I think of myself as a person that shows enough work to get the credit but this man is in on other level. I got 3 problems wrong out of 20 and got a D because I solved the problems in the wrong way.

He was such a positive influence that he inspired my confidence and motivation to do math. I never thought I was very good at it before. Never did well in high school, and didn't think I could. His attention and teaching methods changed that. I now do math, and know I can. That's amazing. Thank you Professor Cureton!

Love, love, love him. This was the same algebra I took last year in HS. It was pretty easy. The professor is funny, and gives lots of chances for getting the grade. He makes the math seem very straight forward. Good lectures. Take him, he's great.

I needed college algebra for nursing. I'm not that great at math. However, professor cureton encouraged me on a regular basis, and I made it through. I still don't really like math, but he made me see it is worthwhile and useful. He also helped me get through. Without him talking me into putting the work in, I don't think I would have passed.

I think this course is set up great. I think Mr. Cureton did great as an instructor because whenever I sent an email to him, he responded in a timely manner. I think there are some harder topics, but they can be done with effort.

Professor Cureton is a wonderful professor. He is incredibly helpful and informative. The homework load is ALOT but he really cares about whether you are able to pass or not. He really does take his time to help you better understand what you can not.

This specific class was online and in the summer. A lot of homework, but necessary to fully comprehend the topics. Professor Cureton is available during office hours to sit down with and is very helpful. Students need to start looking at themselves rather than negatively reviewing a professor who is clear with his expectations and very helpful.

Professor Cureton was very helpful and supportive throughout the semester. He spent time to explain the material until it sounded easy, and I could do it. Without his help I wouldn't have made it through. I really, really appreciate it. I would definitely take his class again.
