Boring lecturer. Very cocky. I kid you not, he constantly called himself the "OG" Many people in class were always cringing. He will tell you to go vote for his preferred candidates. He called Caucasian people the "round eyes." For someone teaching ethnic studies, he's very racist towards white people :( He gives lots of extra credit though.

You can tell that Professor Fong really cares about his students. He gave us plenty opportunities to achieve the grade that we wanted through extra credit. However, it was really hard for me to listen to his lectures. Sometimes he would talk in circles or go off topic/talk about himself (I think he's great but I still want to learn)

Comment:

Paul Fong is one of the easiest professors Ive ever taken. Hes very caring, inspiring, & tries to make jokes, so the class can laugh. Theres 1 book report, 2 midterms, & 1 final. Theres 10 questions Quizzes weekly. And the best part of it all is that he literally gives you all of the questions & answers on the test the day before. Great man!

Professor fong is awesome. He let me make up quizzes and one exam as long as you honestly explain to him your issues. Hes actually a famous politician if you look em up online on Wikipedia. I recommend you record when he goes over the test reviews i got a c in first exam but nailed the final two with As thanks to recordings essays are hard

He's such a sweet professor and he's very passionate about his work. He inspired me to go into Polisci, and he is very easy. He gives you the answers to exams but also holds very informative and inspirational by using historical politics with contemporary politics too. He's kind and is willing to help you succeed.

Very easy professor! Just come to every class to make sure you get the questions and answers that he reads aloud, study them, and you should do well. The textbook is provided by chapter on Canvas.

Not the worst I've had, but I had heard good things and was really let down. He is a very biased professor and will make sure you know it. Being a former Democratic politician he has his biases and leanings, which is fine but he presents the information in such a biased manner that it borders on unprofessionality. But he's easy, I'll give him that.

Although slightly slow, Professor Fong is concise when it comes to lectures. The content he teaches can be referred to the textbook or his study guides (a good summary of what you need to know). His tests and quizzes are very easy as long as you study (he gives answers and reviews before the test/quiz). Overall, his class is easy to pass.

Hes a nice guy, seems like he pretty much knows what hes talking about but his notes can be un readable but sometimes he has slides instead, he also isnt very interesting for those who need a teacher whos interactive and upbeat to pay attention. Otherwise if youre good at focusing and figuring out what his notes say then hed be a good match

Professor Fong is really nice. He's clearly knowledgeable and he's passionate. He gives you the reading materials and a study guide and goes over exactly what will be on his test. Just read what he gives to you and pay attention when he brings up stuff and you'll ace the class.

Honestly, you really don't need to pay attention in class half the time, nor do you have to try too hard to ace the class. Graded work mainly consists of tests/quizzes, 1 book report, and occasional extra credit. He'll tell you the Q/As on quizzes the lecture before quiz. He's straightforward and he knows his stuff, but sometimes talks really fast.

Fong is very interested and wise about all of the subjects he teaches. He tries his best to make students laugh and want to go to class. The only downside is he likes to use a white board and his writing is very messy

Professor Fong knows his stuff. He basically gives you all the answers the day before the quiz. Just show up, pay attention 30% of the time and you have a guaranteed B. An A in his class is very do-able. Textbook he uses is on Moodle for free!

EASY CLASS. He gives yo uall the test, quiz, essay, and final questions and answers in order! I attended every class and the only time i listened to him was the very end of the class when he gave the answers and I passed with easy. Hes nice and funny and you watch a lot of movies (good time to catch up on sleep).

i don't get why people say paul fong is a horribe professor. even if his class is boring it's sooooo easy to pass. i remember having time to study for other classes sitting their and i was still able to pass since all you do is study for quizzes and learn EVERYTHING from the STUDY GUIDE BOOKLET. it's helpful. be greatful for taking him.

he is a ok proffesor cuz he gives out most of the answer on the midterm and stuff. however, he is boring and he talks really damm fast. I mean politic to me is not where near fun but at least i pass his class. lol
