honour section lectures for 2700 linear algebra were excellent, although he sometimes got sidetracked. very good at explaining theoretical material and mathematical relationships. not much computation and a great deal of symbolic work, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.

A very nice man who is clearly passionate about his field. However, his lectures are rarely on pace with the homework he assigns, you will often learn the homework material after it is due so be ready to learn on your own, homework also must be written in latex. His lectures were often dry and most classes he would get sidetracked or trail off

Linear Algebra with Muhly is incredibly difficult. The homework is time-consuming and very challenging. Nevertheless, he is a kind and caring professor willing to answer questions in office hours. He also does curve the class, which makes up for the hard tests. You will learn a lot at the possible expense of your sanity.

Muhly gives a ton of homework and his tests are really hard, but you'll do fine as long as you pay attention to his lectures, which are incredibly engaging and exciting. He teaches you everything you need to know, and then some.

Everyone who is giving Muhly a bad grade probably failed the class and didn't try. You'll enjoy and do well in this class as long as you listen during the lectures, do the homework, and read the textbook. Muhly is truly an inspirational figure. He has given me more life lessons than my own parents have.

He's a phenomenal teacher. I learned so much from him. He is my hero. Probably the best teacher I've ever had. His classes are like math classes combined with history lectures and philosophy courses. His voice is also very soothing, like sandpaper.

He skips around a lot in the book and gives no concrete examples in lecture. He just gives proofs and expects you to know how to construct proofs even though this is an intro to proofs course. His homework is ridiculously difficult, and his exams aren't much better. Decent guy, horrible professor. I would not recommend him.

He is extremely un clear in his lectures and does no examples. Talks in circles and skips around. Very difficult to follow. Take with a different instructor if at all possible. He will just leave you confused unless you have prior knowledge of the subject.

Midwest native who knows the material like the back of his hand for linear algebra but will leave you scratching your head after his lectures. Homework is hard but makes his exams very easy if you can get the answer. Only take if you are looking for a challenge for linear algebra.

Lectured straight for 2.5 hours in my honors Calc 3 section without stopping, which made it incredibly hard to focus after the first hour. He's a decently amusing professor, but dont ask him questions because he'll just expect you to answer it for yourself. I learned everything from the book, since he teaches straight from it anyways.

Quite possibly the greatest professor I have ever had. The man has an amazing command of the material and always looks to make fascinating connections you or I would probably never think of. He's hard, but you'll learn a ton if you do the work. If you're looking to understand something above and beyond the course material, highly recommended.

Alright prof. I didn't think he was nearly as clear as everyone here. His tests and homework were extremely difficult. Did stuff out of book at times, if you don't go to class don't take his courses.
