Comment:

Makes you read and write so much! Takes points away for not following directions (ex: 12" Times Single Space). Claims its to prepare us for the corporate world, how following directions is important. HW is usually (2) a week, TOO MUCH! He forgets we have other class assignments to do as well. The simulation sucks, should have explained it better!

Half of the course consisted of a group project in Capsim. Very stressful, but the lowest grade you could get was an 80. A couple of writing assignments and he actually checked the word count. You'll have to put thought into your writing and be able to BS well. Textbook is provided by the professor... because he wrote it.

Simulation was tough, so make sure to meet up with your group often. He provides the text you'll need. Make sure to complete the interim and final report, worth most of your grade!!!

BEST PROFESSOR AT SOUTHERN! Although there is a workload to get done, it's all worth it and trust me, you'll learn A LOT! Exam are outline of a book, and a documentary. Debates only happen 5 times, but topics aren't interesting. Online discussions are interesting. If you have a change, take him, you wont regret it.

The papers that he assigns don't make sense. He expects you to know exactly what he means with his vague instructions. He's very philosophical and if he doesn't agree with your opinion, look out. Overall the assignments online weren't bad and he tests were pretty easy but just look out for his personal projects which are vaguer than vague

My favorite class ever at SCSU. Not easy by any means but you learn a lot through the business simulation and preparing your individual products for each round. Do the work, read his PDF files, and type up the proposals for each round...you're golden.

Took his online class this semester, it was divided into two parts - tests/activity exercises through the online textbook and then his projects and discussions. Online part was easy but the projects are so cumbersome and the content is completely philosophical, they in no way relate to the actual business world.

The class was great. He has a very different approach to teaching and it pays off. There is a lot of reading, but if you put in the effort, do the work, and show up to class, you are going to get a B with no issues at all. Also the class is amazingly interesting. He is a FANTASTIC teacher.

Comment:

This class was the best I've taken at SCSU. It was a summer course over 4 Saturdays. Our class participated in a business simulation that is a lot of fun! The last class is a lecture for 5 hours or so, but he discusses incredibly interesting topics that you will remember. He really challenges you to question certain things. TAKE THE CLASS!

This class is easy as long as you keep up with the assignment. They are not difficult and its very easy to get full credit. I didn't think the lectures were well structured but the in class activities did a great job supporting the points in the text. Most of the reading was really quite interesting. I learned alot.

The class does not meet very often, but you will probably meet with your group during that time. There is no text, just the $40 fee to register for the capsim game. Its easy to get an A so long as you develop an understanding of capsim, and show this in the 2 short reflection papers. The rest of the assignments are easy busy-work. Intelligent man.

You will learn so much by planning the online games, Capsim. All the terms you learn previous to this class all come together and make so much more sense. Great teacher... and he really doesn't believe in the whole grading system. You're not going to fail or get anything below a c+ if you at least try

Knows a lot of cool stuff. Note that this is that online course "CAPSIM", so be prepared for a lot of team work stuff. This will be like 95% of the class. Great teacher!
