I've never met a professor so willing to work with you and help you learn. If you're willing to work, she will match you and help you. Fascinating readings, knows how to facilitate and generate good class discussions, and the feedback I revived on my work helped me grow as a person, not just get a better grade.

I took a class with her last semester and LOVED it. She's a very calm and patient person, very understanding towards the students and willing to engage with us when we disagreed with her. She's very perceptive and wise, I could listen to her talk all day.

I took her for Arab Women Writers and she really helped open my horizons. She definitely knows what she is talking about and really challenges you to write better. It was a little hard to keep up with the class, but it was worth taking!

I love Professor Kaldas! She is extremely helpful and just generally nice. She baked cookies for our creative writing class at the end of the semester. She is one of the nicest professors that Hollins has to offer.

Professor Kaldas is amazing. I really felt that not only my writing improved, but that the way that I look at things changed. She really expanded my horizons... :) She is not a hard professor, but her classes entail a lot of writing. Take a class with her if you can, it's worth it.

i like pauline very much personally. she is kind, and her intermediate creative writing classes are enjoyable and informative. a lot of how much you get out of the class will depend on how much you put into it. just be careful and DONT GET BEHIND.
