8AM course, she was frustrated with that lack of participation and took it out on us. I have health issues and when I reached out about missing class, she wasn't helpful, basically told me she didn't know how I would pass her course if I couldn't show up. Mind you, we never opened a text book, she would ask vague questions and stare at us.

ed of self is such an important class. everyone should take this, especially senior year! rainbow is amazing! MINDFULNESS, SELF-ACTUALIZATION, AND INTROSPECTION! THAT IS WHAT ITS ALL ABOUT :)

She works as therapist but when go to her to confide in, she acts cold. It is one sided course. She has strong opinions. We didnt talk about the books, and yet she TRIED importance of race, class, gender WITHOUT EVEN TALKING ABOUT IT, because she has white privilege.

Amazing, amazing, amazing professor. Passionate, caring, understanding, and devoted to her teaching and her students. Her classes are almost a class for the soul, having you dig down deep to get at your core. Really does give the motto "the personal is political" meaning when engaging in class discussions. Lessons I'll take with me for life.

I have taken 3 classes with Peri. She is a life changer. Simply an amazing person and professor. She is opinionated, but truly, deeply caring and compassionate. If you do the readings and share with the class you will get an A. Her classes are easy academically (no tests) but push deep insight about oneself and the world. TAKE ANYTHING SHE TEACHES!

When I took her class, Women with Women in the late 1990's (98-99), to fullfill a GE requirement, I did not expect to be the only male in the class. At first she questioned my presence, but after a short while we hit it off. The class was great and her instruction influenced who I am today (an adult). Oustanding Professor. Thank You. She is absolutely wonderful. Education of the Self is hands down, the best class I've taken in college. I also enjoyed Rethinking Violence Against Women. Take all the classes you can with her, even if they are at 8 AM.

Great class... you really learn a lot about yourself. Fun class, definitely have to go to class and are required to write some papers. Goes quickly. Peri is very understanding and easy to approach with any concerns you may have. Peri is great!
