If you take good notes and read before the tests, you will get an A. He always offers extra credit questions on the tests too. His lectures are okay, sometimes he rambles but he will always make it clear what you need to know for the class. He's a funny guy and he really cares about students.

Comment:

Loved this course with Professor Weitzner! I took it as a GE and he made the content interesting and included fun personal anecdotes! Just listen in class and you'll be able to get a good grade in the class, he makes it easy to remember the information! He also brought in some of the best guest speakers I've seen at Chapman!

I was looking forward to this class the most. Mass media law is such an interesting topic, especially now. I was very disappointed with the class. I'm grateful for Pete. He helped me get into the school. I know he has his own personal issues, but his class was really boring. I hope he finds his motivation because that class has so much potential.

Pete is great because he's quirky guy who cares about the subject matter. He brings in some fun guests and talks about relevant news. Just come to class and jot down a few things and you'll get 100 on every test. Sometimes he starts class late or wastes time which is annoying when he always goes to 9:45.

Pete Weitzner is one of the more respected faculty members at Dodge and has been at Dodge for a long time. His insights into the industry are key to all his students to make it in the industry. It's imperative to note his criticisms because he knows what goes wrong in television writing and reporting and therefore provides feedback accordingly.

Honestly one of the best teachers on campus. Super nice, easy grader, wont keep you locked in a 3 hour lecture the entire time, and he's funny! Please take any class you can with him!!!

By far one of the best professors at Dodge. He knows his stuff, is professional, and wants the best for all of his students. He can see past people's excuses and knows who is really in it to work hard, and he judges assignments based on that. Incredible guy, great class (Broadcast News 1).

Broadcast News I... never used textbook. Great professor. Truly wants to be your friend, cares about his students. Grades extremely leniently on packages, just don't take advantage. Make sure you know your current events. Very sloppy handwriting. If you ever need help, him and the rest of the journalism community will bend over backwards to help.

I've had Pete for most of my classes at Chapman. I can say that he is a great teacher. He does not grade very harshly, but more importantly is he is always sending out job openings in the TV business, he wants you to succeed in class but more importantly he wants you to get a job

Like the rest say, Pete is the best! :) LOVED this class. Great to take your first semester as a TBJ major to see what the industry is like but open to non-majors as well. Took some fun field trips...TIP: avoid 8:30 am, you'll regret it.

I have Pete for Broadcast News I, and let's just say... thank goodness I had him! The very first class he gave me an amazing opportunity and has been to best part of my Chapman experience. He is so cute! Definitely a good looking man, which just adds to his charm. Take his class! You'll love it!

Pete is easily my favorite professor at Chapman. I've had him every semester and his classes are always my favorite. He genuinely cares about his students and goes beyond the call of duty to open doors for us. His classes are easy-going but offer a lot if the student is proactive enough take advantage of them. Best teacher I've ever had.
