While there is a lot of homework, it's pretty easy if you remotely pay attention in class. Any formulas are on the slides on Blackboard, so no one should be struggling to complete assignments. Tests aren't much harder, especially if you have prepared. She explains things well enough that work on your own shouldn't be difficult.

Be ready for tons of busy work. She gets easily confused and seems unorganized. She assigns worksheets due every class on top of blackboard homework. A lot of times her lectures don't make sense, I would read the textbook to fully understand the material.

Inconsistent grading. Will take 3-5 points off 10 point assignments for the simplest things (like not writing on every equalivant thing). Gives out so many worksheets, I probs have killed a tree by now. Huge language barrier. Doesn't have a lecture, but rather reads the text book to the class. Hardly does any examples. It's bad. Avoid if possible

During the class she opened the textbook on the projector and read the section out to us. This wasn't done in any organized way, either. Most of the class was confused about what was going on. Communication wasn't clear on what was due or expected of students. Excessive busy work was assigned each day in class. Don't take courses with her.

She teaches straight from the book, and she hands out a ton of worksheets. It was not a bad class, just not the best.

This class is taking up a large majority of my time making it very difficult to get my homework done for other courses. It is an online course which makes it difficult for the professor to give you feedback that is easy to understand. An access code is used and that makes things even more difficult when it doesn't work properly.

Very scattered an unorganized. Strong accent and hard to understand. She uses a power point during lectures but then adds additional material on the board which is NOT on the power point. So you must take notes and later try to match your notes with the power point to study She often expects you to do homework or corrections while she is lecturing.

Dr McLaughlin teaches straight from the textbook. Her examples come from the book and she offers none of her own. During class, she expects her students to pay attention to her lecture, take notes, and complete a worksheet over the material being covered, which is due at the end of class. She talks during her own tests.

She is a terrible teacher. Accent is annoying but not the problem. She does not work out problems in class homework is due same day as assigned and tests are over material not covered in class. Do not take her.

Very clear and helpful with a positive attitude. She clearly wants her students to succeed especially beyond college. Drops lowest 2 quiz grades and lowest test. Recommend!

This is a class where you half to teach math to yourself online. It's challenging. Make sure that you know enough about math to be able to make it. The good part about the class is that you can do the homework till you get a hundred on it. The quizzes and tests are just like the homework but shorter. If you really work at it, it?s possible to pass.

She is terrible. I understand her even though she has an accent, that's not the problem. She does not however, teach effectively. She assumes people should know what she's talking about, even if they don't. The book designated for this course is terrible. Word of advice if you have the chance to take her....DON'T...

Very good teacher, she gives ample opportunity to get points in the class. You can correct quizzes and get half the value of the points you missed back, and you can do the online homework until you get 100%. The tests were really easy as long as you go to class and do the homework, one of the least-stressful math classes I have ever taken.

In the world of accents, her's is not a problem. However she refuses to bend just a little to help students with reasonable request. Her lectures are unorganized, she goes over the material without emphasizing what she is talking about. If you can take stat with another teacher I would suggest it.

I do have a problem with accents normally, but she is very clear once you get past the first couple of days and get used to her. She gives quizzes weekly, but you can correct quizzes and gain half your missed points back. She assigns online homework but you can keep trying until you get 100% if you want.Would take again for any stats/finance class.
