WAY too hard! I almost failed intro psych because her tests are insanely hard, unless you can memorize every detail from the textbook. I went to office hours and it still didn't help. She bases pretty much your whole grade on the tests, which, again, are insanely specific and extremely hard. I would suggest avoiding her.

I almost failed my intro to psychology class. I definitely would suggest not taking that class if you aren't a good test taker because almost your entire grade is based on your tests. It's really a teach-your-self class and she's never clear on exactly what's going to be on the test. I've failed almost every test.

Quite pretentious. She wouldn't even show up to her own test reviews and made her useless TA hold them. Not only that but she scolded us almost every class about participation and attendance (in a 100+ student lecture), which was really difficult to attend since her lectures are incredibly boring. Do not take her class.

Really interesting class. VERY hard to get an A. You have to do the reading, attend class, and study your butt off for every test. She's pretty helpful if you don't understand something. And she's the fairest teacher I've had so far. I recommend her if you're not lazy. If you don't want to try hard, don't take this class.

Never take her class. And if you have the misfortune of being her student, drop her while you can. It seriously won't get any better-I dropped her class after a month, and now there's a new opening for the same class next semester with a professor that I know won't give the dry, uninformative PowerPoint treatment with impossible exams.

Avoid Her. You have to self teach yourself. The lecture is she reading powerpoint slides, which are actually the pages of the textbook. That is the whole lecture, reading the text. tests are almost impossible to pass. You have to literally read word by in the text. tests are 4 chap. of text, each chapt. 30 pgs long.

Awesome. Definitely awesome. You really have to read the book. But if you read the book and attend the class (every. class.)you're golden. Take note when she repeats things-- if she says it more than once, you can bet it'll be on the test.

SUPER dull class. Could have been fun, but her lecture sounds like an endless list that she's reading off, which is not a good way to teach this physiological systems heavy class. If you're into biology you'll prob like it more than I did. Tests are def a challenge, but not impossible. STUDY hard, and reading the text is recommended

The reviews on here scared me, but this class is one of the most interesting & informative ones I've taken. Her teaching style may not be the most exciting, but I found it easy to stay attentive. 4 big papers that are very time consuming, but she is a fair grader & cares about her students' progression. Take this class if you like to learn!

I really enjoyed this class. Mostly powerpoints which are put on blackboard. Only four exams which are not difficult if you study the powerpoints and the assigned textbook. Freeman a very intelligent woman and made this course interesting.

Class was pretty simple organized which made the class easy to follow. 4 exams on 3 chapters each, and a final, plus she drops the lowest one. That's it for how she determines your grade. I found myself just reviewing the chapters/blackboard study sheets the week before the exams and doing well without even paying attention in/going to the class.

This class wasn't the most exciting, but I still enjoyed it. She lectures from powerpoints and obviously cannot cover all material so you must read the textbook on your own if you want to do decent on tests. Study, come to class, read, and tests aren't impossible. Her love and knowledge of psychology is obvious and she can be helpful.

Very very intelligent professor, she's a human encyclopedia of psychology. Her classes can be dry, but as long as you do the readings you will most definitely get an A. Though she can be boring, I don't see why she's getting so many bad reviews. She's an excellent professor, more than willing to answer any questions or concerns students have.

Was very interested in psych before taking class with her. Classes were ridiculously boring. Read off the powerpoints. Seemed like she was trying but didn't work. Lots of reading on your own. Gives study guides for tests but tests are still hard. Not recommended.

I had her for general psychology and she was the single worst teacher i had all year and her lessons made no sense.General psych was the easiest class i've ever had, only 5 multiple choice tests and she drops the lowest test grade.Read the text and you will get an easy A.For any class other than general pysch do not take it with this teacher!

Dr. Freeman uses multiple methods to engage students in class. She has a great sense of humor, though a bit dry, which may be one of the reasons students feel unheard. She was kind and understanding when I experienced and illness during the course and allowed make-up work. She genuinely cares about her students. Hard work, but well worth it!!!
