DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She is a horrible professor, not clear in her explanations you will have to see 2 plays & write extensive reviews on them and pay for them, one is $20. All tests are fill in the blank, doesn't have a clear syllabus letting you know when exactly the tests will be, just horrible do not make the mistake because it says "intro"

Comment:

Intro to drama and literature was the worst class I had my first semester. It was boring and tedious. The tests were pages long and all fill in the blank and explain. I am talking 50 questions that way. They just got harder and harder. Not a good class for an entering freshman. You also watch a lot of movies. I like Gibbs as a person. Thats it.

Phyllis is crazy but she's a good teacher for tha201. Seriously, just read the plays and take notes and she loves her dates. Basically, just studying whatever she tells you and you're bound to get an A. She's also very entertaining.

Phyllis is kind of boring. She covers entirely too much information and her testing is ridiculously tedious. She doesn't seem to be too insightful about the material she teaches. She's excellent at being a director, but not as great as a teacher.

The novelty of her looking like Mrs.Garett from The Facts Of Life and her constantly matching glasses/shoes/jacket wore off FAST!!! This is no Intro, the class is expected to know alot more than any intro class should, and her grading system is crap.

P. Gibby was able to make this class very fun considering the content and the diversity of the students who are required to take it. She is a wonderful person who really supports her students in every way possible.
