He is not clear about some assignments and grading. Thankfully the syllabus was modified during the semester. Discussions in class are helpful but he might get defensive sometimes which leads to stressful somewhat atmosphere.

MGMT 583 is one of the best class I've ever taken at Iowa State University. The class discussion was really helpful, brought me a lot of thoughts and learnings about innovation. It may have lots of assignments and exams, but it's worth make an investment.

Professor Pol honestly saved my semester. He is a really understanding guy and will try to help you in anyway that he can if you go in and talk to him. Overall he made the class very interesting, although at times it was hard to understand him due to his accent.

Overall good teacher--would definitely recommend. He makes the lectures and cases pretty interesting. Tests are really easy if you read the book. Class participation is a must! There are several smaller group assignments and one group paperpresentation, but they aren't too bad.

Pol is a good guy who teaches the class well. He's from Ecuador and his accent is still thick, but his English is great. Exams are straight from book and video cases aren't too bad. Participation is a must. Would definitely recommend this class.

Pol was a wonderful teacher. His English can be a little hard to understand since he is from South America but he does care about his students. He also makes very funny comments and has a dry sense of humor. One of my favorites in the College of Business.

Pol can be pretty funny. The class can be interesting as well. The tests are easy so long as you use your book to study. Questions will come straight from the book. The kicker is the final group project. The project is very difficult and complex. Coordinating with group members only adds to the difficulty, so work on it as soon as possible.

As long as you show up for class you'll do fine.Make sure you attend on participation days at least! Exams are all based from slides/textbook. Make sure you work on the final project throughout the semester rather than waiting until the end.

Class is hard to go to as he just reads the slides. Quizzes on case days. Tests mainly over power points. Test were long, but pretty easy. Great class! Group project, but it is easy and he grades pretty fairly as well

I found it really hard to go to class, and often skipped. His lectures really aren't that great...the extra stuff he talks about isn't on the exams; he takes his questions straight from the test bank from his book. The only reason to go is to take the quizzes, and he doesn't always announce when he's going to give them.

The lectures are an absolute joke. Unless there is a quiz that day, don't bother showing up, you will be asleep within the first 5 minutes. Utilize the online quizzes offered through the book. 50% of test question are pulled from the same test bank that the quiz questions came from.

If it wasn't for the extra credit attendance points, I would never attend class. Class is oftentimes incredibly pointless and boring and will not help you do well on the exams. You might be better off just reading on your own.
