He was very entertaining to listen to. He seems easy going. His quizzes are very easy if you pay attention in class and take at least semi-decent notes. The readings he assigns aren't too difficult to read and he talks about the general ideas from them.

GREAT!!! You can joke around with him and he'll joke right back. I loved his lectures - can be a hard grader on tests but what do you expect? He loves to tease and make fun of you but if you can handle that, you will get along with him just fine.

Great teacher. He might scare you the first day of class but you'll get over it. He goes through info. very slowly so everyone understands it. If you can't sit in a class without falling asleep, I wouldn't take this class. Can be boring because there are a lot of discussions. Do well on quizzes and tests. That is all you are graded on!

Kicked my butt into academic shape. If you can get Ryckman for an advisor you're a lucky duck. Funny, thoughtful, challenging and reasonable. Hands down, Ryckman is the best educator I've ever experienced.
