I took this class online, I had exams and papers on a discussion board to do. You need to get the books cause he will grade you on your understanding of the material from them and how you present them in the discussion boards. For every point you miss you lose 1%, there is only a total of 100 possible points in the class.

I'm not sure if this is robot or an actual professor because the criteria is very vague. For intro to phil online you have to write a discussion response the second week (of a three week period), write a reply to someone else's discussion response, and then take an exam. Most boring, pointless class ever, take in person w different prof instead.

Should've done my research before taking this professor. Grades very harshly, isn't willing to help students out with understanding the texts. Gives very wordy, hard to follow summaries of the assigned readings, so best of luck when attempting his exams. I would highly not recommend this professor.

I warn you not to take this class if there is another professor available take that one or if you are doing this for Kent Core explore your other options. He gives minimal assignments with minimal points given. So if you mess up you cant bounce back also because there is no extra credit. He is very rude when you ask him for help nor will you get it

Doesn't respect students. Extremely tough grader. Is a fan of double negative exam questions. Knows his stuff, but doesn't take your input into consideration if you have questions for him/are confused. Get ready to read & write A LOT for little points. Don't take if you're looking for an easy course. Pro: the readings are interesting

This is genuinely one of the hardest Kent Core courses I've EVER taken in my life (Introduction to Philosophy). The test questions are incredibly unclear, and the professor is unbelievably "wordy." His grading rubrics and instructions are several pages long! Don't dance around it, tell me what I need to do! Avoid this professor and the class.

He is tough. From the beginning I knew that he would not be very approachable so I just wanted to stay out of the way however one day I needed to ask him a question and although I received my answer with it came rude and condescending remarks. The class in itself is not horrible just apply yourself and stay focused. I wouldn't take him again.

Prof Ikuenobe was one of the best I have ever had. I ended up taking every available course he taught because I love his passion for teaching. Yes, he is tough, expects attendance and participation; but if you work hard, he will work with you and help you out. If you are looking for an easy A, look elsewhere.

Had for intro, was completely disappointed with the course. I love philosophy, and got an A- (I've since gotten an A in every other philosophy course I've taken). His tests involve true/false which have little to do with the important aspects of the philosophy covered. Also, the only class where attendance was taken with 100+ students EVERY TIME

He's hard to understand and he's very unclear about what he wants. He takes attendance and it takes forever. He's not a nice guy. The tests and quizzes are very hard. You have to really read the readings AND pay attention in the class to get a decent grade (c). DO NOT TAKE HIM!

Great teacher definately knows what he is talking about and if you need help he is there to help make sense of it all. Make sure you attend classes though a lot of what is on the examns is stuff he has gone over in class.

I'm a soon to be graduating senior and have been getting 4.0's in my recent junior and senior level philosophy courses. But I won't in Iknuenobe's class. His grading is completely arbitrary, and there are times that it's totally impossible to please him. Easily one of the worse professors I ever had at Kent. Deeply wish I never took this professor.

This is the WORST class I've ever taken in every way. His teaching and grading style is horrible. He's rude and talks to students like they're kids and is overly critical. The readings he chose are horrible. In my 4 years at Kent, this is the ONLY professor I can say these things about! A HUGE disappointment! I would NEVER take him again!

Dr. Ikuenobe is a great guy. He's not afraid to tell you if he doesn't know something, which is rare for philosophers. If you put in the work, you will get a lot out of his course.

This class was extremely hard for a Freshman level course, and I am a Junior! He and the class itself was OK, but the tests themselves were SO DIFFICULT!!! Mostly t/f,fill in the blank and essay. He would leave these open ended questions but be looking for something very specific. Be ready to learn this stuff inside and out and be able to apply it.
