Great Professor. Interesting lectures. Anti-establishment. Taking him is not only entertaining but a huge GPA boost. Attendance is not required but helps. If you like him take Karl Squittier and vice versa. Theyre buddies. Do not take these teachers if you cannot handle foul language. =)

Isn't all that. At first I really enjoyed his perspective but after a everything he says starts sounding so familiar. He does a lot of complaining & doesn't practice what he preaches. It's an alright class but not life changing or anything. If you have an overactive bladder, you might not want to take this because he'll trip out if you get up to go

I don't know why this professor's ratings are so high because I beg to differ. Because the site will not let me post the real reason as to why you should not take his class, let me just say that you will not learn anything useful, and he rants about how messed up the world is for the majority of class. He'll pass you, but it is not an easy A.

Ok so he is extremely funny, and he really does care about his students. You shouldn't take what he says literally sometimes. But he preaches about being kind to others but he won't let you use the bathroom in the middle of class. He will go ape on you if you look at him funny. Fun, but class can be a bore. Work load is light.

This class was fun. Ray was passionate about his teachings. He cares for his students and wants them to do well in class and in life. He only requests that you respect him by not leaving in the middle of his lectures to answer your cell phone. Your class was memorable Ray! I will view comedies differently from now on. Such a sweet, honest, thought provoking teacher! Class can be a bit hard, alot of reading, but all you really need to do is pay attention, go to class and take notes. He is very helpful. Easy only if you actually try. Stopped going the first time i tried taking the class, and the second time i really appreciated the material, and Ray!

Very entertaining and fun class! Just make sure you are respectful...don't leave in the middle of class without talking to him first or forget to put your cell on vibrate. As long as you aren't rude or immature it's a great class.

Very nice man but the class is difficult. I thought it would be a kick back, easy A type class but I was so wrong! He gives you the information but it is so hard to understand. The papers are corrected by his assistants who grade very harshly. The final is very difficult. He does scream at you if you are not paying attention. Dont take him!!!

ray is a hilarious and cool teacher, but sometimes lectures drag on and he just goes on a rant about how we are all one, blah, blah, blah. Just have someone sign you in and read all the books and see all the movies. Tah, Dah, A+.

So my comments are going to be against the norm. I feel that Ray is overly opinionated for a teacher. It's really hard to offend me, but he manages to do so on almost a daily basis. He cannot stay on topic to safe his life, yet expects you to know everything anyway. If you were looking to kind of learn something, this is not the teacher for you.

He's a good instructor, although the class can get boring when he's not dynamic because he just goes over the lecture in his notes. He checks for attendance on random days, and it does actually help your grade. Overall a very interesting class, but he is VERY liberal.

Great professor. Very helpful including his TA's. He loves to cuss a lot so be prepared for that. A little disorganized with his notes and textbook. Its kind of difficult to follow. He gives you second chance on your essay. He understands what a student goes through but doesn't put up with bad behavior.
