Great professor, great explainer, what more do you need? One of the toughest math course I've ever taken. All's well that ends well. His dogs are nice.

He talks really fast most of the time, but other than that I have no complaints. He's very friendly and extremely helpful during office hours. If there was ever a section I was confused on during class I would go to his office hours and he would always make it crystal clear. Not to mention, I love listening to his deep voice ;)

Dr. Greenwall, good person, but there are many issues regarding his teaching methods. However I feel I learned a lot during my time, but as a result my grades suffered. His exam problems are beyond difficult because he would find ways to make them tougher than average and score averages were amazingly low. Hardly believes in partial credit. Avoid!

Professor Greenwell's a good guy, and he answers any and all questions you may have, problem is- you might have to do a little homework to have a question, or two. His office hours are really useful. He was a good teacher, but you need to do your part and do the homework. He'd bring his dogs to class, and that would relax me, sorta.

First off, class is insanely hard! I was comparing my work to other Math45 classes and WOW! Second, stop bringing your smelly dogs to class! I'm trying to learn and they're running around the room, licking people. Third, have a personality and be a people-person. Fourth, did I mention stop bringing your dogs?!!!

Comment:

Most math excursions classes teach how to conduct a poll or do means and medians. This guy was teaching cryptography. There were no math majors in the course and everyone said they were there to get an easy A for the requirement. I had to withdraw because I couldn't take him, his dogs being in review sessions, his method of teaching. Just awful.

I am glad I this class is over. The material was presented in a scattered way. The tests are extremely difficult and don't reflect the homework or problems in class. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

He's too smart for his own good. When he's explaining how to do problems he skips over steps because he's thinking too fast and our whole class gets lost. He wrote the book for God's sake. He's really nice, though...but can get a bit creepy if you're ever alone with him (girls). I think he has good intentions, but as a student it was uncomfortable.

I hate math but I liked this class.This class is challenging, the test are hard and he gives lots of homework but he curves the test, gives extra credit and doing the homework helps you actually learn the material. Great class if you are a business major because you need to know this stuff and you learn.He is the nicest guy and is very helpful.

Wow. Where to begin?! Greenwell may be a nice guy but there are numerous issues with his class. First, the tests are extremely difficult and don't reflect the examples we all do and study. Second, he brings his pets to class. This is a college not a pet shop. Third, he is often confused on his own grading policies and constantly contradicts. AVOID!

Exams are difficult and even with ample studying you are lucky to get at least a B- or B. Can't do basic math and doesn't follow his syllabus grading policies. And, yea, he brings his pets on review days? why? beats me. If you are bad/slow with math, avoid.

I had to switch to another class because Greenwell was extremely difficult. We all know college is supposed to be hard, but he took math to an unhealthy level where even math majors dropped out! His exams are difficult, he is very picky when it comes to grading, and he constantly contradicts himself! He also brings his pets to class.. why?!

Greenwell's life revolves around high level mathematical theories, yet he cannot do simple arithmetic. He thinks any question he considers to be easy should be easy to everyone else, when in reality his explanations are very unclear. Coming from someone with a high GPA who is not a slacker, if you have problems with math, STAY FAR AWAY!

Greenwell's an amazing guy. he's past his forties and still surfs and wears outrageous clothes. he makes math bearable, but isn't the best at explaining it. if you're having trouble, just go to his office hours. he's always willing to help. you want greenwell for math.
