Amazing professor! Such a chill guy that goes out of his way to answer students' questions. He's super clear with what is due. I hate Biology, but survived with him!

I've never had a professor care so much about his students. Very helpful and always available. Tests can be tricky if you don't know the material backwards and forwards.

This was a challenging class. I worked very hard for every point with him. I loved this class and am really glad I took it with him. He wants you to succeed and works with you so you will. I feel like he set me up for future higher level science classes. He is seriously AWESOME! I wish he taught more classes!!

Super nice instructor. Really helpful by the meaning of the word. Tests were hard and kinda tricky especially when you don't study enough for them. However, the quizzes taken in class were extremely helpful to rise my grade.

He tends to read power point slides, but he is really helpful if you ask him for help. He has the best personality, and he is always willing to help. Tests are hard and tricky, and there is no extra credit provided.

This is a CHALLENGING class, but Rick is eager to help his students understand. He really knows his stuff and loves it. It's purely lecture but the class is more interesting when people ask questions. He's funny too.

I think he moved to Korea or something. A lot of people in my class didn't like Rick. His tests were very hard. But you shouldn't expect biology to be easy anyway. I also had him for lab, where he was a much easier instructor. He was difficult, but EXTREMELY knowledgeable and willing to help. If you actually want to learn, he's your teacher.

Tends to read from the PowerPoint a lot, but he makes class pretty interesting. Tests can be hard and detailed, but there wasn't any homework hardly. Nice guy who used to work with hydroponic plants performing toxicity level tests or something.

Nice guy, grade was based solely on lab and extremely difficult tests. No assignments. He is knowledgeable about biology but has a tendency to be over many students heads and too in depth.

Numbers speak loud. In the middle of the semester, only 11 out of 47 students were passing the class. You are graded on exams only, no extra points were given. Tests were multiple choice and essay. He gives you the essay questions before the test. Multiple choice tests were very difficult. He's a great lab teacher though.

Rick is one of the best teachers i've ever had, funny too. Only had him in lecture, though i heard his lab was entertaining as well. Read the book and go to class and lab and you will at least get a B, if not an A. I would definitely take a class with Rick again!

Had him for BIOL 154 and 250. He's arrogant... There's not much more to say about him. Personally, I'm glad he's gone.
