His obsession with Simone Weil is daunting, especially for an Intro course. He assigns papers and grades them based on his agreement with the student's point of view instead of judging the arguments they make on their merits. And he's dry - I stayed awake during NINE lectures all semester; I fell asleep during his final it was so boring!
