You are correct, if you want an easy science requirement don't take him. If you want to learn something about the subject matter, take him! He is devoted to the students success inside and out of the classroom. Chemistry needs more professors like him that have real world experience.

I you are looking to take Chem to fulfill Curriculum 21, don't take it with this guy. He doesn't care if you fail or are doing poor. He is very hard to follow sometimes, he might be a good teacher to those who are chem majors, but don't take a class with him if you are not. Trust me!

undoubtedly the best professor in the chem department. dr. benner truly cares about the education of his students. Of course his classes aren't easy, whoever said chem was supposed to be easy? he has a tough but fair teaching style and will give you the grade you earned.

Benner shouldn't be a professor. He belittles the class constantly and is horrible at teaching. The average on the first exam was 67, and he blames us for not knowing the material, although be barely taught it. He grades extremely harsh, each problem is either 10 or 0. Stay away from his classes if possible.

He is the best professor I had there. He does masters work thesis's and I am doing well in Graduate School because of him!
