No idea why he teaches. Every year he gives a new ECE elective which he has no idea about. He's unclear in lectures and doesn't care about homeworks. Nice guy though.

The worst class most of us ever had in Lehigh. The previous comment is pretty accurate and I'll just add on to that. The lab is absolutely horribly written and poorly organized. The textbook is confusing and there were a few errors in it. I personally think this class should be optional or not offered at all. If you don't need it, avoid it!

You won't learn anything from lectures. All studying must be done from the textbook - which has many inconsistencies! He spends no time preparing for lecture. For the first 30 minutes he goes over homework and then spends 15 minutes 'teaching'.

I don't really think some of the other comments are THAT fair. I don't know about embedded systems, but Decker seems to know everything about Emech off the top of his head. I think he's fairly clear in class and grades HW fairly. His LAB on the other hand is TOTALLY different story. The lab directions are the most convoluted I have encountered EVER

I'm the same person who wrote the previous evaluation of Decker. I am doing this to show you what lengths I'll go to in order to prevent anyone from being as constantly infuriated and hopelessly lost as I was in that class. If you're neither a masochist nor an embedded systems genius, you will hate this class; I can guarantee it.

I implore you to avoid Embedded Systems with this man at all costs. Seriously, if you've already registered, DROP IT... NOW! This guy is only slightly less clueless than we were. ESPECIALLY DO NOT TAKE THIS IF YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN ECE81/83. If you read this and you're taking his class now, I feel your pain... But yeah, horrible class... worst I've had

WORST prof ever. Total idiot; knows literally nothing about embedded systems. Class average on midterm was 60%. He's never prepared for class. He tells us to do stuff in lab when he doesn't know it himself! He teaches what ever comes to his mind and maybe in his fantasy world everything that he teaches makes sense but the class is completely lost.

Still wears sandals to class. Makes no use of text book or any references, and has no idea him self of the stuff he teaches! In lectures, half the students are missing and the other half are asleep. All he covers are data sheets, but doesn't teach students how to properly read them. Labs are waste of time. Nice guy but not very knowledgeable.

supposedly brilliant man who comes off as an idiot in this required electromechanics class because he cannot convey his ideas in a coherent manner. one of my least favorite classes of all time.

This Professor has to be one of the laziest professors of this University. The class average was in the 50's for the first test. There was no partial credit and any simple error was completely marked wrong. Basically, your final answer better be right regardless if you know how to solve the problems
