At SUNY Oneonta he is a good professor. He knows how to write and expects his students to be want to become better writers. Will help those who struggle and allow re-writes on essays. Huge on introductions. If youre a solid writer and good with criticism youll do great. Good and approachable guy!

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. His classes are boring and you will regret it every time. he gives many essays and writes mean things on your papers. The essays took forever and they were not easy. I would not recommended it unless its necessary. Overall a harsh teacher.

Bensen is a great person, funny and insightful, but not very clear when it comes to teaching. He needs to focus the class more, because while it's open to a million possibilities, it's just too open without as much focus.We spent two months analyzng The Tempest.It was a bit much.Overall he gets a B.

Any professor who appreciates the art of dancing and combines that with poetry is cool in my book! Prof Benson also found the coolest and cheapest book ever for his Native Amer Lit class. I still cherish it!
