The WORST professor I've ever had. SO arrogant. Just reads from the notes during lecture and expects you to know what is going on. The notes are difficult to understand and full of words/abbreviations that you're magically supposed to know. I would NEVER take a class with him again and AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Not helpful at all. Goes too fast and does not care if you do well or not. Lectures are ridiculously long with a lot information. Course probably not as hard as he makes it. If you're signed up for his class, I would seriously recommend you to reconsider.

Reads word for word from his powerpoint, tests on a ton of material( 6 chapters a test) and when you ask for help he doesn't give you any. Terrible teacher I would not recommend.

Awful. Very cocky and his notes do not make sense and are completely unhelpful (doesn't define terms, just throws out big words and moves on). Gets off topic and moves far too quickly. Reads powerpoint verbatim and does not further explain things because he expects that you know everything he does. "But everybody knows that?!" he always says.

If you are not the best everrrr in science do not take this teacher. He only has tests in his grading scale so if you mess up one, your done for the semester. His tests are from powerpoints but very wordy on exams. I used to study for 15 hours each for an exam and only pulled out a D or C-.

Dr. Dorman is very knowledgable on the subject but with that he expects everyone to be as well which isn't necessarily good for a gen ed course. He reads his PowerPoints verbatim and explains things with pictures followed by his signature phrase "but everyone knows that". The only points in the class are through the lab and 5 exams. No extra credit

Great teacher but his personality can get kind of annoying. He's a bit cocky and sometimes tells bad jokes. Don't need book at all. Attendance not mandatory. Lab will likely help lecture grade a lot. May need to go to a bit of SI or get tutoring. 5 tests altogether (Final is not cumulative)

Had him for Human Bio; great guy, he just moves fast and there's a LOT of info. I went to the free tutoring-It saved my life! The only time I used my book was in the tutoring sessions. He tries to tell quick jokes and ask the class questions, but nobody has time to react b/c he just moves on. ADVICE: write out notes, study alone, then w/ a group.

The class was really hard, but Dorman's a great teacher. Pay attention, go to class and get a study group and you should be ok. Don't open the book, study straight from his lecture notes. You'll learn a lot, and if you put some effort in it will really pay off in later classes.
