This man is hilarious. Attendance not mandatory by any means but if you go to class you will definitely get a good laugh. Always wants to help and work with you. If you put forth the effort, you will at least get a B.

Bruh I have no idea what this class is about and Ive only skipped like 3 classes. Kohl speaks to us like we know kinesiology but all of us are just here for the Coll 200 credit. I dont know anything. Homeboy dont make sense. BUT he is very nice and funny. Also all his tests are curved because everyone does very poorly!

Where to start on Dr. Kohl... Easiest professor youll ever have. Hes the grandpa every college kid wishes they had. You probably wont learn anything in lectures, but if you go to office hours, hell tell you something interesting and most certainly completely unrelated to the class.

Comment:

Easy professor, definitely a GPA booster IF you prepare well for the exam. Be sure to go to ALL the review lectures because he tells you what questions will be on the exam. Be very thorough with the practice exams as well. With that being said, I dont remember much from the class anymore.

I don't know why everyone is hating on Bob Kohl. I took KINE 204 with him my first semester here and I was freaking out because I didn't do well and was always struggling, but he always gives huge curves and if you just go in and talk to him, he will raise your grade. He doesn't like the way grades work and honestly wants to give everyone an A.

I love Kohl. He is not the traditional professor at William and Mary. He wants all his students to do the best they can. He speaks his mind which is amazing. He calls people out each class to get them involved, and he keeps class entertaining. He is hilarious, and everyone should take him.

Comment:

Kohl's lectures were a bit disorganized, but he covers each concept several times and his examples are funny (hence memorable), which helps. Definitely go to him whenever something is unclear because he explains things more clearly individually and really cards about his students. Tests use formal language, so write down technical terms.

I wasn't super impressed with his teaching style. I get that he wants to teach in an unorthodox way, but the lectures lacked any sort of structure. He didn't teach concepts clearly, and there were no notes I could reference to fill in the gaps except those of other students. He's usually pretty nice, but I think he teaches to a very niche learner.

He's extremely pretentious and wastes a lot of class time with his pointless philosophizing. Honestly, he should probably teach philosophy, because that's clearly what he teaches better. Didn't remember a thing from this class and only succeeded by memorizing a bunch of useless facts. Also, he seriously needs to use PowerPoints and Blackboard.

Professor Kohl was a lunatic. He would stand up in front of the class and teach us nonsense. He thinks he's funny but in fact he just reuses the same jokes in EVERY class. I didn't learn one thing from his lectures besides that the phrase "Don't drink and drive" dismisses class. He obviously is on tenure so be thankful your kids will have him too!!

Teaches from ppts. Take notes on those and you're good. None of the information is too difficult. The ppts are largely from the book, too. Tests can get weird, but he curves a lot. He inserts lots of anecdotes, which are generally not super relevant, but they're fun. Genuinely cares about students passing and being successful in life after WM.

Kohl is a cool guy but difficult to deal with as a professor. He stands up and talks with no reference to power points or books. He puts things on the test that he never mentioned in class making studying really difficult. You wont get a grade worse than a C but good luck getting an A.

Comment:

Lectures were structured around textbook chapters, so missing class wasn't a big deal. Professor Kohl made test taking really straightforward and wanted students to succeed. Only complaints are that he doesn't use blackboard, and he sometimes rambled about non-related topics during lecture.

Bob Kohl is THE best professor i have had at his school. He makes his lectures fun and brings energy to each and every lecture making them interesting and a good break from the rest of the day. Don't HAVE to go to class everyday but when you do take notes-even if they seem unimportant! Listen to the life lessons he teaches, smart man!

Professor Kohl is probably the worst professor I've had at the school. His lectures are filled with pointless rambling, and tests have nothing to do with what he talks about. The questions tend to come out of nowhere and are ambiguous. He tends to be generous curves but seems to have favorites in the class.

His exam questions are often out of no where. I felt like I had no idea how to study for it even though he kept saying it was all in the notes. He also tells a lot of stories. Also, I gave him the hotness tag just so he'd stop complaining about not having it.
