Comment:

Tries hard to be a good prof but the lectures weren't coherent so I had to teach myself from the textbook. Midterm was fair, final seemed heavily based on the last 1-2 chapters despite being "cumulative" (screws you over if you knew everything but struggled with those final concepts). Not willing to give a lot of part marks. Do EVERY assigned Q!

Comment:

He's one of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and he is always available at his office for help. However, he rarely solves any problem in class. He just reads off the slides which I believe is the worst way to teach a course like Analytical chem. The good thing about him is that he is an easy grader.

Comment:

Dr. Wang is overall an incredibly nice guy, and really approachable, he isn't out to get you. That being said, Phys Chem (he teaches Analytical as well) can both be very dry, and there is a lot of material. His lectures weren't that great, so you definitely had to do a ton of work for the class. He does drop hints for midterm questions though.

Very caring and helpful. Really wants you to do well and well help you as much as he can. Goes through your midterms with you to explain your mistakes and will give you marks where he can. However he does not curve or help your mark after the fact.

Wang is an AWESOME prof!He really tried to help you understand the material. He is almost always available, easy to approach and really cares for his students. If you did the homework, there is no reason you should fail the exam.

The material in this course is very difficult, but Dr. Wang is there to help. He personally sits you down and goes through your midterms and lets you know how you what you did wrong and how to improve. VERY GENEROUS MARKER. I strongly recommend taking his class.

This man really wants you to do well. If you go and see him, he helps you out ALOT. I say GO and SEE him. He is a bit hard to understand at first, but after a few lectures you get used to him. He gives up so much time to help his students, we are his number one priority.

This prof is hard, tests, assignments, exam, everything required HARD work, and practice of numerous (a LOT)questions from the textbook. Thank goodness there are labs(not that the theory taught in class is related to them), but just because the lab grades will boost up your overall mark. His accent is so thick, that I did not get much from class..

The man came in to answer qusetions the sunday before our exam. Now that's dedication. The subject is difficult, but he makes it easy with his awsome knowledge of the material, his good teaching ability and his friendliness. He is the best professor I have ever had.

Yes he has a pretty thick accent, and sometimes it can get in the way of understanding him, but he's awsome when he explains to you an example one on one. He loves proofs, which is something that just becomes lost on me, but he tests well so it's ok.
