She's so far behind the rest of the Department its not even funny. Nice person, though. Grading is different than anybody else. Made me want to quit education after the class. You build community though, because most people think she's impossible.

RDS is a very good professor. She doesn't always explain assignments very well, but she picks good TAs who can help you when you have questions. You will learn a lot from her classes.

RDS is crazy and you dont like her when you take her, but after taking other edu professors, you learn to appreciate her. You actually make lesson plans you can use in the future instead of doing pointless projects that dont help you become a teacher at all like in other edu classes. You have to take her so just make the best of it.

Had RDS for 2 classes and besides professor Daly I thought she was the best education professor. There was a lot of work involved in her classes but I learned so much. All the other education classes are repetitive and I never learned anything new. With RDS I really learned how to create interesting lesson plans and tests.

Had her twice, her classes should be called how to confuse your students. I was mostly confused since her directions are vague and she goes around in a useless circle when you ask her something, she was fair though.

Granted she's not God's gift to education, but her classes were pretty fun (she doesn't really teach the class, its mostly run by the class). She isn't very clear in what you should do, but she tries. If you need anything, you can just ask her. She responds to e-mail super quick. Pretty lenient grader. Not a great teacher, but not a bad one either.

RDS makes me hope that I will never end up being a teacher like her.She has no rhythm in her class and makes me feel like I am wasting my time. She shuts down ideas if they're not to her liking and grades on a ridiculous scale. Unfortunately she teaches required courses and you are forced to take her.
