Comment:
Honors class. She is EXTREMELY enthusiastic...as in, hops around shrieking over passive voice and indefinite pronouns. Will put more comments on your first drafts than you even wrote...but lets you redo papers and grades fairly, if strictly. Usually interesting. Definitely not difficult about absences for sickness, etc.

Prof Schulze is by far the best professor I've had on campus. She really knows her subject matter and passes her interest for it onto her students. The 50 minute classes seemed like they went by in 10, and she encourages participation and is very open to different interpetations/ideas. Take a class with this professor if you can!

Opened my eyes to some rather difficult material, yet some amazing poets. One of the best classes I ever had.

At first I hated this class, but eventually grew to enjoy it. As the others mentioned, she also made me a better writer. Word to the wise: never use passive voice, especially in this class. If you enjoy reading and good discussion, take one of her classes.

She's smart (if not very well published), but not all there. She doesn't want to help you unless you share her (ultra-feminist) perspective, and you're lucky if you get a response from her on any questions you ask outside of class. A real disappointment.

I had trouble writing for her until I went to her office hours a few times. I am now a better writer for it. She was always accepting of my differing viewpoints, and I had a lot of them. her laugh is annoying, though :-)

A very educated individual who certainly knows her subject matter. However, she graded papers in a very unfair manner. Face it -- if you don't agree with her perspective, you won't do well. And her incessant nervous laughter is quite annoying.

great teacher, great class discussions, perhaps a little unclear about expectations for papers, but you get the picture soon enough and she's more than fair with grading and second chances.

She is very enthusiastic and gets her class involved. Though she is a little tough grading-wise, she is very helpful in the long run. Her classes are worthwhile and will help to improve your paper writing skills!
