Comment:

I had Roselle in her final semester and I'm glad I did. Granted she gave a lot of work but it was one of my favorite classes. I had her for School, Law and her opinions that people are whining about were a great addition to the class. She made sure to ask everyone else opinions and even brought in guest speakers to balance out the great class.

Comment:

John Dewey has been dead for over fifty years now but unfortunately he lives on through many of Roselle's teachings. As a teacher myself I can honestly say that I do not use anything that I was forced to endure in her class. She needs to leave the comforts of college and go back to the real world. I feel bad for anyone who has her as a professor.

Comment:

Very opinionated and assigns too much busy work for college courses. Would be more suited to return to her job as a jr. high teacher. Her approach to teaching is too political and ideological, it hardly prepares you for a job in Educ. Professors shouldn't use their own books at texts. It is a bad ploy to gain more commission on the sale of a book.

Passionate and educated, she knows her stuff. Unfortunately she's a bit too political, being Jewish myself I got tired of hearing only the jewish story, there are others effected (pagans, protestants, blacks, cripples, vagrants) She was very one sided.

Roselle is such a sweet woman. A little zany, and a bit of a hippie but nice. She gives you a lot of work, but focuses a lot on debates. And we had a hootennany at the end of the semester. (Human Heritage Tier 1)

She clearly has a serious passion for the subject, perhaps too much. As others have said, she's very political, almost to the point where it becomes difficult to take her seriously. Assignments tend to be more busywork than not, but she's fair about it.

Comment:

An extremely nice person, not such a good professor. She would be a fabulous elementary school teacher. The class had too much busywork, but it did inspire me to learn more about the topic of the course (Holocaust) and become genuinely interested in it.

In my course, she tended to be extremely political and veer drastically from the course matter. Despite his faults, one can only rationally hear so many comparisons between Bush and Hitler before it gets to be too much.

I liked the topics covered in her class...pretty juvenial but that could be because her main focus is education. Although I wasn't too comfortable with the grade I received it was a fulfilling class.

I like Roselle , shes a good person with a lot of passion for the topics she teaches. But she makes you take dual notes which takes reading an extra 30-60 mins of your time. Worthwile class though
