I found this teacher to be both enjoyable in her teaching methods, and her attitude towards the subject. She applies the lessons at a level and time that students will understand and relate with. This class was extremely enjoyable, you will need to spend time out of class to study and read the book, which is mandatory. Take this teacher!

I loved this class. She is the best professor that I ever had! She made everything so fun and interesting. You have to work but it is totally worth it. If you take her, ask her about her dating tips-they're hilarious.

You have never had such a fun class. Defiantly Worth getting out of bed for. Reading the textbook is not mandatory for a good grade but ~15% of the tests are from the book not the lecture. The rest of the questions have the same wording as the lecture. Q's are Who is this?, Why did I emphasize this? and what made this important.

I did not like this teacher. she was very energetic and tried to make history interesting but was very dry at the same time. class attendence is a must with her! if you like history go with ewert, if not i would suggest trying someone else.

She is a great teacher. She made history fun. I'm so glad I took this class from her. The tests are hard, but do-able. You have to go to class otherwise you miss important notes for exams. She rarely asks questions out of the text.

Dr. Ewert is the best professor I've ever had. I've never been able to understand or be interested history at all. She made it come alive for me through her passion for the subject and excellent lecture strategy. Not many professors have what it takes to make a difference in a students life, but Sara definitely does. Take her class and see.

Great teacher! FUNNY/interesting lectures. I didn't read the book, just took good notes and tests are DIRECTLY from lecture notes (even though she claims you need to read the book). Has "gimme" reading quizes/map quizes to help your grade. EX: 3 separate quizes on the different states in the U.S...Talk about easy! She makes history fun!

She is a great teacher. I've taken American history so many times all through high school and I feel that I've finally learned it. Her teaching style makes it easy and fun to understand history. Test are a breeze if you go to class and at least skim the book. Highly recommended.
