SOM made an exception for me to come into this class even though I didn't have the prerequisites, so my review might be biased. Sara is knowledgeable, but unclear explaining questions. Her notes are a bit disorganized. Gave lots of extra credit which helped. I found the class difficult, but it would have helped if I had taken finance beforehand.

A highly ineffective teacher. The answers she gives when a student asks a question make you even more confused. It is very hard to understand her english and her explanations are not clear and concise. When doing examples doesnt explain anything

Extremely easy course. Lectures are boring, but daily quizzes and tophat questions make them mandatory. Exams are rudimentary with over 10% of extra credit on each. Online assignments are a little annoying, but tolerable. Useful to study for the exam(if you need to). Sara herself is nice, but is very much a stereotypical accountant. 90% overallA+

SARA IS AN INSPIRATION!!!! Her energetic personality is so refreshing for an 8:30am class. Her passion for pensions and for other course topics make me want to go to the class because Sara is just a sweet and cool professor. Exams are SO easy (little studying required), many points of extra credit offered and she cares. Take her!! Best professor!!!

Gotta be honest I've never been more shocked about how a class would go. She is the quintessential example of Ferris Buehler's teacher except somehow less enthusiastic. Regardless, after finishing the class, I realized that Sara is a diamond in the rough when it comes to sheer genius. She's the Albert Einstein of the right half of the Balance Sheet

I have never enjoyed an Accounting class more than Sara's. She's an absolute gem with extensive knowledge of deferred taxes and pension accounting. Everyone in class loved her teaching style, which was go over topics and then do an example. Personal stories of her experiences in the field are extremely funny (ask about her Boston basketball story)

She is an amazing professor. Her lectures are crystal clear and her exams are so easy. She keeps the class engaged through fun examples for every topic to make sure everyone understands the material. She also is very funny and the students respect her because it is an easy A. She is just the best professor that the Accounting department has.

Prof Reiter teaches using example problems, so if this is helpful to you, her 312 is a good section for you. She expects you to have looked over the material before class, but doesn't grade too harshly. I chose to take her class because she also teaches Advanced Accounting (555) in the MS program, and she does have good insight into grad studies.

Fair grader, if you are in the cutoff she will not round it up, but that is how she rolls. Very knowledgeable and always seeks to find new ways to teach better. I enjoyed the class even though I am from Europe and was not familiar to American accounting standards.

She is a great professor. The materials she covered were not easy but really helpful. The quizzes and exams were not hard and people can get a good grade if they do read the textbook. Usually she will give 10 points bonus in the exam.

Very clear and concise. This course is much easier than any intermediate course. She is extremely fair and gives lots of bonus points. There is a lot of work for this course with papers and computer projects, but you can always send her your work before it is due and she will tell you what's wrong with it. Learned a lot in this class.

Nice person and obviously very knowledgeable. However, the class is extremely boring and the professor is not at all clear in her teaching methods. As much as she tries to help you by answering your questions, her answers usually make you more confused. I wouldn't recommend taking this course with her.

Painfully boring, worst professor I've had at Binghamton. Doesn't care about you or your name...just starts talking and doesn't stop. Disorganized on the board, frequently makes mistakes. Picks the most mundane examples, like mixing cement or factory machinery. Only highlight of the class is that she rarely ceases to trip over the garbage can.

All the tests and assignments are really helpful to understand the material. She tried to give us extra bonus each time we hand in papers or group projects. If you keep the deadline or put your decent work. You will get a good grade and earn the knowledge of Advanced Accounting.

The material is difficult, but her tests are easy. It is good that she gives out "a lot" of extra credits, but I feel the extra credits are "too much" Quizzes are easy too. Only highest 6 out of 9 quizzes were counted for the grade. Recommended!

This class was easier than 311. Reiter is straightforward with all the material and does a good job explaining complex concepts. She gives a lot of extra credit in disguise without really telling you. Her tests are just like the problem sets, not hard at all. Very nice. Quizes are easy and so are the two papers and presentation. Easy A.
