Comment:

Sarah Cooper is lovely. The class won't be too difficult if you have taken AP Bio or upper level Bio courses. If not, then you have to work hard for a good grade and study lots to do well on tests. She does give extra credit that she adds on to your test grades, though. Be aware that there are only 4 tests that represent your entire grade.

Her tests are extremely difficult. I took extensive notes and studied for weeks before the tests and the highest grade I got was 79%. The reason this peeved me is because this wasn't even a biology class, it was an introductory science class taken by non-science majors for auc credits. If you're not that big on science/math, DO NOT TAKE HER.

hardest thing i've ever done. never cried over school until i took this class. made me realize that sometimes doing your best and putting your all is not good enough. just be ready to study harder than you ever have and a few mental breakdowns. very sweet lady though very lovely

Her exams are difficult. I am a very good student. I studied at least a week in advance and the highest score I got was a 78%. 100 questions in an hour in biology is not a walk in the park. Positive, her lectures were very informative and she encouraged us to ask questions. She is very sweet and caring. That's if she can see you're truly trying.

tests are really long but they always have extra credit. very intelligent and knows what she is teaching. one of the sweetest professors but this class was honestly one of the hardest things i've done in my life. lectures and notes are based off her writing on the board so sit close and record lectures in case you miss anything. you will need it

She writes on a chalkboard and in cursive, so if you are more of a visual learner you may find her difficult. Her tests were difficult but she graded fairly and at times provided study guides. Overall, she is just so darn cute and the fast paced lectures keep you awake. Oh and she loves cats!

I love Professor Cooper. Great class and lectures; she writes on the chalkboard though so if you like powerpoints don't take this class. Her tests are straight from her notes so not too difficult - plus she gives opportunities for a couple extra credit points! Definitely recommend taking her!

She is adorable when she talks about cats, but the other times she is not that great. She goes extremely fast in class, and writes in cursive on the chalk board. Her cursive is not really legible and that is coming from someone who took cursive for 8 years. If you miss class good luck on catching up on the notes. Switch teachers if you can.

FORGET POWERPOINTS. BUT she manages to give you tons of information despite writing on a chalkboard. It can be hard to decipher her handwriting but she always says what she's writing and if you're listening this shouldn't be an issue. She loves cats and birds. She teaches in the dungeon of Boyer so get ready to feel like you'll never see the sun.

Sweetest old lady ever. Don't let it fool you into thinking Anatomy will be. One of the hardest courses at Arcadia. 1 hour & 5 minutes hand written notes. Most of which is extremely hard to read so listen clear. Tests take about 20 extra minutes after class ends: 9ish pages long with 140ish questions. Perfect course if you have photographic memory.

She is really great, she drew pictures during her lectures which really helped me. You also dont have to read the assigned pages in the book as long as you go to class, everything she tests on she covers in class. She also wrote my rec letter to transfer out of AU!

I absolutely love this teacher. Although her tests are very difficult, her notes are extensive and majority of the time she gives extra credit opportunities for tests and study guides. She is extremely nice and approachable. She posts an outline of the notes on blackboard however in order to get all of the info needed, you must attend class.

She enjoys talking about cats, but gives great lectures. I definitely would recommend to take this professor if you would like a challenging course especially in Biology. I have never studied so hard for an exam in my life. She is willing to help students, and has a welcoming personality.

Writes out ALL notes on the board and tells you everything you need to know. You WILL miss out if you do not go to class, the notes are vaguely outlined online. She is very sweet and little and old but she knows her stuff. Some people might not like how she teaches, but I have never met someone who disliked her. She is there to help.

Worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life. Unless you can learn by just staring st a chalkboard, you're screwed. Unless this is your only class and you only focus on her and her notes and have the ability to infer anything and have lots of previous knowledge as if you've been learning about biology your entire life, you will fail. Or nearly.

My friends and I joke that no matter how much you study you won't get higher than a C because we can't. Every test is 9 pages with over 120 multiple choice questions to Be completed in one hour, if you have test anxiety I don't suggest taking cooper. She loves cats, she doesn't do power points and her handwriting is worse than a 7 year olds.
