Have had difficut classes with good teacher, the test have been hard..but here is the thing..I LEARNED SOMETHING..but I know nothing from his classes. He was too busy trying to make the test tricky,than actually teaching,barley passsed his but now I'm one of the best science tech in my career, dont let this class make you or break you.try your best

Worst teacher ever!!, there are some personal comments that I have heard first had, that has made me loose some respect for the teacher. Personal aside..there is hard and then there is hard just for the sake of being hard. If I'm paying tuition,studying for the test,paying for the books, be a teacher help students,dont have multiple choice a to z.

Hard class but if you take good notes and study a lot you can actually do well in the course. His beard is fantastic! His jokes make class more interesting. Don't use cell phones in class or he'll call you out in front of everyone.

No one seems to have mentioned that Vomachka curves. He is a difficult teacher and makes you work hard to get your grade, but that ultimately makes you a better student. I wish I had more time to spend on his course, would have gotten an A. Very helpful in lab!Interesting professor, cracks jokes in class, reminds me of Darwin! LOVE HIS BEARD!

Worst teacher ever! I never got low grades like this. He will give a "0" for essay questions even if you write relevant information that came straight from the textbook. Don't take a class with him if you don't have to, your GPA will suffer if you do.

One thing about Dr Vomachka is that he knows his stuff. A second thing he cant teach. While he does force his students to work harder than any usual class, I find it unnecessary for him to make his tests hard. He has mastered the art of making multiple choice questions difficult. And he can be cold when you try to talk to him unless your a favorite

This guy really knows his stuff. He is a really tough teacher, and has mastered the art of making a multiple choice test difficult! If you do the reading prior to class, you will be ok. You don't have to understand the reading, just be exposed to it before the lecture. He is an advocate of study groups and tutoring as a way to keep up.

He is impossible, he is not willing to meet with you after class or give any tips to help. Thank god he is not here this year. He knows his stuff but is not good at teaching undergraduate students. He should be teaching grad/PhD courses.

Dr. Vomachka is an interesting educator. Your have to respect his credentials (2 PhDs!). He isn't the most warm and friendly teacher, but he definitely raises the level of expectation, which in the long-run povides the student with a quality education. Didn;t like him when I took the calss, but now appreciate his teachings.

Dr. V looks like Charles Darwin (HOT!) and does a good job in class of making you feel respected. He also really cares about his students. The only downside is that his classes are boring, as he tends to read directly from the book.

Professor Vomachka tries to connect with his students. He straight lectures which can put you to sleep literally, I'd recommend a tape recorder. He doesn't give notes and moves at a very quick pace. When I went over his test at his office it felt as if he was rushing me out. Got very discouraged but ultimately succeeded.
