Worst professor I've ever had. I'm in all upper-level classes for my major, but this was my hardest class this semester. The concepts are so easy, but he somehow makes it insanely confusing. I don't even pay attention in class anymore because I can learn the material better by reading the textbook. He's also rude and only talks about Breaking Bad.

He's hard to get in contact with outside of class and forgets everything. I had to explain an absence to him over 3 times and email him the documents on two different occasions. In class he talks about tv, baseball, football, but not really math. He kind of just does the problem on the board and sits back down.

The course overall isn't too difficult, but Pro. Scott Wittelsberger makes it 10x harder than it should be. He does not teach, and expects you to know and understand the material yourself without his help. All homework and quizzes are online, and you have them a few times a week. He spends more time rambling than he does teaching.

Definitely is too old to function. Do not take him if you are not looking to fall asleep in class. He gets mad if you do not know an answer or if you do not want to pay attention in class. I sit in the front row and he tries to have endless conversations with me when I am trying to get to my next class. Do not take this class unless you want easy A

He is the worst professor I've ever had. Never followed his office hours, talked about everything except for math He also never actually taught anything, but rather would give his own personal opinions about everything and complain about everything. this man gave a 20 min lecture on why he hates bicyclists. terrible professor. BEWARE! DO NOT TAKE!

Where do I begin, Math 105 "Mathematical Ideas" is easy. Scott Wittelsberger is not. He talks about everything - except math, and uses a lot of sports references for his class examples when teaching. His handwriting is horrible and is almost impossible to tell what he wrote if you sit in the back of the class. Homework is easy, but his tests aren't

Does not present the information during his lectures in a linear fashion. I am close to buying him some Windex so he can clean his chalkboard, of which I can barely read from, and if you get distracted it is hard to get back on track. I recomend having the etext out and following along with him and it to compare which one makes more sense to you.

Scott was great. Some people gave him a poor review because they obviously didn't put in the work. Math is by far my worst subject, and he got me through it. I would take him!

LOTS of homework, but it's helpful, and not too long. I found it easy to understand his material by following his examples, but he didn't do much teaching. He mostly rambled on about things unrelated to math. He has a short temper, and if you're easily irritated, try to avoid him. Can be boring at times. 5 exams and a cumulative final.

Be ready for lots of homework. The lectures were pretty hard to get through! He doesn't really teach, just gives a little background on the concept and starts writing down examples on the board. He loves talking about everything EXCEPT math. There were 5 exams and one cumulative final exam. Lots of homework due, multiple times a week.

Writes everything small on the board so you can barely see it, doesn't explain the things he writes on the board that much either. An insane amount of my math lab homeworks. He always wastes time by talking about things that are completely unrelated to math. WORST MATH TEACHER

I don't usually dislike professors but if I ever have, it would be him. He does not explain anything in a way that people who are not as strong in math need in order to do well. He "teaches" by reading straight from his notes or the textbook. He expects the class to know the material right away and is extremely rude when answering questions.

Due to his obsession with talking about ANYTHING BUT THE CONTENT it doesn't feel like a math class at all. He puts practice problems on the board for us to do and then brings up random topics and complains about how much he hates them. He hates a lot of TV shows. Very negative, condescending, and inappropriate. Don't try to tell him he's wrong.

He takes points off every time you dont come to class. He gives practice test before every test and its the same concept on every test which made them easy to pass. He knows his stuff so you will actually be lost in class also at the end bumps your grade up if you have came to class majority of the time.

He ended up only failing people that never came to class. He bumped my grade up when he didn't have to because I tried. However, there is always stuff due on MyMathLab which will help you with tests but at some points it is hard to manage all of the quizzes and homeworks due. Tests are 75% of your grade, quizzes 15% and hw 10%.

Many tests but if you study using MyMathLab, you'll pass with 100%. He does an amazing job at explaining the content. I was afraid to take math in college because I always assumed I was bad at it, but he made me love math. Yes, I LOVE math. He's a great professor, he uses dry humor, and he will acknowledge you for good grades. LOVE him as a teacher

The material was super easy. While lectures can drag on at times, if you pay attention, he does a good job explaining everything. MyMathLab homework & quizzes every week and 5 exams, all of which have extra credit. The exam questions are very similar to the MML homework, so do your homework and you'll be fine. Didn't open my textbook once.

He's your average math teacher. If you show up to class you should pass no problem because he goes over the concepts pretty thoroughly and will answer any questions you have.
