While Heim might be a nice guy, as the head of the composition department / and compositional coach, him and the program in general fall extremely flat. Negligence on Heim's part led to the cancellation of performances that we had put weeks of rehearsal into, much less the months of writing that went into the music. This school is garbage, DONT GO

I've never laughed so much in any class, ever. Heim knows what he's talking about and knows how to teach it, even though he gets confusing with complicated subjects sometimes. He's a great guy, more than willing to help you out if you need it, and the funniest teacher I've had in my entire life.

Heim is an awesome prof. He makes theory interesting and gives you a little room to show your personality in that class (nice way of saying goof off) but still gets the job done. It's easy if you ask for help and study. If you like The Simpsons and Family Guy, take this class... he always quotes them.

He is the coolest teacher ever. I have only seen him mad once and that was because we didn't show enough interest in music. His class moved quicker than it has in the past and it was really enjoyable. He is very flexible too. He will work with you if you're honest.

Good Professor, nice guy. His Cultures class is very interesting and the tests are easy if you study the answers that he gives you. Watch out for the 7-10 page paper though, it's difficult to find the information required to write it.
