Probably the worst professor in the geography department. Not helpful at all. Hard to understand. He did not know the subject material well enough to explain it thoroughly. Too bad he's tenured :(

Dr. Amin is such a nice a friendly guy, I currently have for intro to geo.. but unfortunately his class is quite difficult, he is very hard to understand, and what he tells you to study on his guideline for the test is barely even on the test. Tells you to take notes on what he's saying but you can't even understand! Would not recommend

You don't want to take his class. He is almost impossible to understand. It's hard to stay focused in his class because he lectures about a single slide for 15 minutes and in that time span you probably wouldn't understand half the words he said.

Very hard to understand, don't buy the book. Tests are average. Mostly memorizing, if you don't mind that take it, it will be an easy B. Don't use your cell phone or he will freak out.

Dr. Amin really hard to understand. He was not helpful to me at all. Never returned e-mails. If you need to miss a test for any reason he will not let you make it up. If you study you will do fine on the test. but puts stuff on there that he lectures about.

Nice guy helps you out with just about everything. Gives outlines for tests and quizs are pretty easy if you have the notes. He gave us an open note quiz at the end of the semester. Take the class if you can, easy stuff.

Dr. Amin is a fine professor. I don't understand why he's getting a bad rap. If you go to class, pay attention, and do some light studying there is no reason you shouldn't come out with an A. He's helpful and he cares about his students. Don't be lazy and you will have no problem with him or the class. Oh, and don't buy the book. It's pointless.

Good Teacher, tests arent difficult if you study. Drops your lowest test score and only takes your best 3 quiz scores and you take maybe 7. Always talks about his homeland of Bangladesh and is hard to understand at sometimes.I would recommend this teacher if your willing to put up with his accent. Takes attendance but wont hurt your grade for miss.

This professor is the worse when it comes to map skills. You cannot understand him because of his thick Indian accent. Barely helps you when you want help. Is not at his office when you make appointments either. Recommend you do not take a course with this professor.

He is very hard to understand due to his accent and he doesn't have perfect English. Do not take this class, take geo. rec. tourism and sport when it is offered if your in the minor. The class is hard and his assingments are so vague and the tests are not worded clearly. There were harldy any examples on how to the do the homwork! Drop!!!

go to class. forget the book. Automatic A. If you happen to miss class, read the book a little bit to fill in the blanks and its like you were there. Gives awesome review sheets. take to raise your GPA. He even gives extra credit so you can get a 110% on every test!
