All you need to do to pass is take pictures of her slides and study those. All her tests come from that. She gives a review sheet for all sections however, no information comes from those. Be prepared to write a 6-12 pages paper on one of the bodys organ systems.

Comment:

this class really goes in depth with A&P. ATTEND CLASS! ask as many questions as possible. muscular system was very difficult as you direct a cat and the cats and physically part of the exam and can be very tricky. Dornhoff is very well educated and will teach you everything you need to know. it made me feel prepared for lecture as well.

take the class and professor seriously and you will do fine. set lots of time aside to study for exams; which are prepared with formal study guides. the class has difficult moments, but she is easily accessible through her office hours and email. sometimes she goes fast through lectures which can be frustrating. exams and final weren't crazy hard

Took this class thinking itd be fun and interesting. Boy was I wrong. Dornoff explains things very poorly and doesnt put things into terms youd understand. Her tests are absolutely insane. She sets up strings and makes you move table to table answering questions. I dropped the class because of her. I couldnt stand her teaching method or tests.

By far the most stress inducing, unfair, and time consuming class Ive even taken. Do not take this professor. Reasons: 1. Insane test difficulty 2. Petty grading 3. Letting the class out late everyday 4. No student interaction in lectures 5. Not knowing what to study 5. She teaches directly from the book 6. Cant put anything in learning terms

Shes very knowledgeable and explains things rather well in lecture. However, her tests are ridiculous. I feel like im preparing for a final every time. She gives a review sheet of about 500 terms for every test some of which are not even mentioned in her lectures. I study everyday and read the textbook and its still overwhelming.

Dr. Dornhoff was overall a very great professor. She is very knowledgeable in the subject of A&P and passionate about teaching, which can be hard to come by. Her tests are difficult, but she always gives you exactly what could be on them during class. As long as you study, you will be fine. She really cares about student success.

Very intelligent and to the point. She makes it clear what is expected on her tests, there are no surprises and she is an extremely fair grader. If you learn what she lays out in front of you, you will do well. Not a great choice if you require a charismatic and "fun" instructor, but if the learning is what matters most, I recommend her labs

I thought see did a great job teaching! She is very smart and passionate about science. She is very organized, she will tell you exactly what to expect for that day and the next class. She manages the time perfectly so we can learn what we need to in class and not at home. She was always available for questions and additional info.

She expects you to know everything she talks about on her powerpoints along with everything she talks about during her lecture. Her review guides for her test contain 300 terms and she barely asks any questions about it. She always seems nervous and tends to go off topic into A&P two constantly. Definitely get a different professor if possible.

Her outlines for tests seemed scary but if you studied, you'd do fine on her tests. She doesn't provide you with paper or online copies of notes but she allows you to take pics with your phone of the slides. I did this the whole semester and went home to type them up and when I did that, all the material covered was on the exam, but the exams are

If you're in a Nursing program or any similar program along with this class please, take my advice and find another teacher. Her tests are ridiculous (not multiple choice either) and she can't seem to put the material in learning terms. She also makes you write a report. She's a nice person, but if you want a chance at passing please go elsewhere.

Worst professor in history. Stands for 5 minutes and then just tell you to use the book and you basically have teach your own self... waste of money . I bearly passed with her.. I took another professor for the same class and had an A in the class !! That just tells you that a professor can make or break you.

She doesn't clearly answer questions, is rude, doesn't answer questions clearly or at all, her tests are unfair, no clear outline of things to focus on when studying. During a 2 hour and 45 minute lab she gives zero definitive break, so people just end up walking out of the room. Then she gets offended by that.

I had Dr Dornhoff 2006 and 2007 for both A&P 1&2 but not for lab. Reading these reviews makes me chuckle, apparently she hasn't changed much, my daughter has her now. She is VERY knowledgeable and will help you whenever she can, but don't expect her to hand it to you. You will work for it & you will NEVER leave class early, maybe never on time.

Dr. D is amazingly smart. Never laughs and doesn't wear gloves with dissection. She gives a lot of bonus points and chances for extra credit on her practical's. She only gives three tests and you have to study everything in the book for them. She was very nice and I would take her again. She tries her hardest to help everyone.

If you want an easy lab grade take her. Her exams are very straightforward. She is a decent teacher. However, she is quite possibly the most annoying/ unpersonable person i've ever met! If you can get past her personality and know all you need to know for each exam you will do fine!
