Do the work get the grade. Don't ,then u get what u work 4. She'll dock u 4 not being there. Not being there includes being late 2 class . If shes done wattendance & u walk in, u r not there. Expectations r clear. Don't think u can buffalo, beg or bribe ur way through this class, IT WILL NOT WORK! Strict but good @ her job. Helped me tremendously

I really enjoyed her class. Yes she was strict, but she had to be to make the class run smoothly. Strict no cell phone rule, which is expected considering there are always speeches going on and it is rude to have your cell phone out. She is very good at making you comfortable. Must meet deadlines and regularly attend class.

Oh boy this was an interesting class. Klemm is pretty strict, and she has her off days, but she is for the most part just a little in the clouds. She can talk for literally hours, but really teaches you to get open. She helped me learn how to speak to a crowd without hesitation, or much nervousness. Good teacher, fun class, weird structure, strict.

Cry me a river! She runs a tight ship! No excuses. I appreciate that considering most students panic when expectations are clear. Students dropped because they couldn't fake it...being prepared, poised. Why do most blame the professor? She doesn't hand out A's because your nice and turn just any work in. Quit crying about her. She is EXCELLENT!

horrible. I dropped a prop, and got marked off for picking it up, even though i needed it. My speeches were always very good, prepared, visuals were there, props,everything she wanted, but i couldn't ever get a strong A on any speech. every speech even though i improved as we went on the things she wrote down, and i never got past an 89-90

I love public speaking and giving speeches..however I feel if the topic is not something she wanted to hear or something she didnt agree with personally, it would reflect on your grade. Will NEVER take another one of her courses. Interesting person...lack of passion in teaching...some may find her offensive.

Great experience. Be forewarned, you will be required to give speeches and research them correctly, duh! It is a speech class! Best experience at LMC so far. She tells you what she expects, do it and you will do well. She will go to the ends of the earth to help you if you try. Attendance is a must.

I took the class thinking it was about speeches about whatever, it wasn't. She's liberal, and she makes that very clear. The class i joined was an environmental issues communication class. It wasn't terrible. Talk about something terrible for the environment show that you care (even if you dont) you get a good grade. simple enough

I took this class a few years ago and was very disappointed with the experience. She belittled the students, ranted about birds, and sometimes didn't even bother to show up to class. Her class however, was very easy...as long you're more organized than she is, which isn't that difficult.

I was looking forward to the class.... BIG MISTAKE to take it with her. She doesn't use the book at all, and said to read it at home - 'it has some good stuff in there'. In class, she sits up front just to converse with the students about uncomfortable topics such as her gay relatives. A waste of time, I withdrawed.

Great example of how unions can keep bad teachers in business. She runs her class based on fear and intimidation. I took her class to learn about speaking, and instead learned of her obsession with birds. It was even suggested to me by other faculty members that I not take her class. Don't waste your time with her, take the class somewhere else.

She picks favorites from the start,but you can uphold a decent grade as long as you stick tightly to peer reviewed articles and correct citation.Beware lengthy bird rants-I learned more about local wildlife than speech.

Classes are very easy if you pay attention to what she says and get everything turned in on time. Just do your best and you'll be absolutely fine. She is very nice towards those who actually try. She doesn't take excuses, and she tells you so. Just listen to her, respect her understand her and she will be the absolute best teacher you'll ever have!

This was the worst instructor I have ever had. I agree w/ other comments, if she doesn't like your content / topic your in trouble!!! She failed one of my speeches due to resourses being sited incorrectly!! UN BELIEVEABLE

I totally had the opposite experience than everyone else did on here. I didnt think she could be any nicer. She is one of the best teachers I have had at LMC. Just because her class wasnt easy doesnt mean she's a bad teacher. As long as you try and turn your stuff in on time youll do fine. Dont buy the books though - waste of money.

Not very nice..she misses class all the time because she forgets what day it is. If you miss a class it's the end of the world though. Her speeches are easy as long as you follow her nazi-like guidelines. Most people drop her class so at least you don't have to speak in front of many people.

Don't her class. Klemm has her favorites. If you like sports, right away she hates you because you can't do any speaches about sports. If she doesn't like your topic, she'll fail you. She's not a very nice person eighter. Worst prof I've ever had.

dont count on getting a fair grade in this class. she will do everything in her power you keep you from getting the grade you deserve. if you arent one of her favorites you dont stand a chance. the most unprofessional instructor ive ever had the misfortune of dealing with. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! wish i had gotten to do a class eval on her! RETIRE!!
