She is a good prof that knows what she's doing and what she's going for. Meet with her for every essay you write, and you'll know exactly what to do and get a good grade. The annoying part is she doesn't do much with "grades"--I hope you like grade estimation and check/check-plus/check-minuses.

Comment:

Good prof, really liked her. She grades papers pretty hard, the best grade she will give out is a B, and then you have to revise it and give it back, but a B is pretty easy. Very helpful and willing to give extensions if you just talk to her. She overloads the assigments though and it's easy to fall behind because you get so much homework.

Shelly is a great Prof. Tough grader, but I have never learned so much bout English that I could actually use until I took this class. You will be a better writer when you leave.

I really liked her. I thought she knew what she was doing and she was really cool. She knows what its like to be a student, so shes cool about stuff. Although she'll give a lot off assignments, its really easy. She's awesome!

Not at all helpful. Her class consists of nothing but busy work. I learned nothing from her and felt that I wasted an entire semester. I was cheated out of my tuition money by taking a class with this professor. Awful.

Good prof, pretty funny. Has a slightly droning voice, but usually makes the class somewhat interesting. Lets you choose what you want to count the most in your grades. Sometimes gives a lot of homework, but not always. Is very helpful when you meet with her one-on-one.

awesome prof, no reading which is awesome for an english class, just papers which you can revise like 3 times till you at least get a B on it, No grammar quizes, actually makes english class somewhat bearable, take her!

Very very hard! Gives LOTS of work! Never gives papers back and be prepared to edit your paper for the rest of the year! There are always three papers going at once and it is very stressful.

Not so much work as with other Engl profs. She allows up to 2 revisions on papers and encourages meetings with her and basically tells you everything how to make your papers better. Vocab. quizzes are annoying, but a trade off for the best ENGL prof.
