Comment:

Math is such a mechanical process that after teaching it for a few years, teachers lose perspective on what it's like to not know the info. So when he explains a concept, and glosses over a couple key steps, and multiple students ask for clarification, he gets frustrated and says it's because we're not paying attention. Def not the worst though.

great professor! exams are very easy IF you actually read the chapter and come to lecture (otherwise just drop out of school or fail quietly). Doesnt give much homework, which is disappointing, but he will explain any practice problems you do on your own.

Comment:

Took professor Si during the winter intercession. I enjoyed the class, he actually cares that you learn the material, he enjoys teaching and is dedicated. He will patiently explain if you don't understand something, makes the course enjoyable, though I am a fan of the subject. I wish he was a bit tougher on us when it came to tests and grading.

His lectures are all copied from examples in the book. He makes questions on the homework seem really easy. Explains how to answer any question you have problems with and the correct way to get answers on the exams. Exam question topics are clearly told before the exam and each exam is used as study guides for the final.

He is really good for intermediate level or basic level of math. But I found his class hard to understand in upper level. I always had to teach myself at home, so the lecture is not much helpful. The good thing about his class is his tests are really easy and expected.

By far the best math teacher at PCC. Math was never my best subject and I always had trouble in math in high school. Once I took Mr Siv everything changed. He does have an accent but you will get use to it and it is understandable. Homework is easy, test comes from review sheets he gives. Easy A if you attend class and learn!

Professor Si will always be my favorite at PCC. I have failed math131 previously and decided to take him. Trust me, if you are horrible in math TAKE HIM! It was an honor to take math with a professor so understanding and always going the extra mile to help his students. Don't take him to get an easy A, take him to understand the subject, you will!

Professional Si is the greatest professor I've ever had. I'm an English major so math isn't my strongest suit but wow I've had an amzing experience taking his class. He is there for you just ask questions. I promise you, you will not regret. I'm really sad class is over, but please take if you can!!

OMG, he is the best. He is so easy going. He is not mean, when you have a question, he makes sure that you get it. I would take him again for sure!

He is very straightforward with the subject unlike other professors. I suck at math but this class was rather easy. There are 6 homework assignments, 6 exams lowest score gets dropped, and the final. Overall I would definitely take his class again. I wouldn't suggest skipping class because then you'll definitely have trouble catching up.

Professor Si is a great professor! Tries to give you as many points as possible (partial credit on tests) and he does NOT use my mathlab!!!! He tries to explain clearly and does not make you do math 'his way'. Very friendly so you'll never feel embarrassed asking questions. I am an English major so I struggled a bit but more because I did not study

He isn't the worst and he isn't the best. His class was very boring and I usually found myself teaching myself straight out of the textbook. However, he does give partial credit on tests and drops the lowest test grade so you should be able to pass if you take him.

Comment:

Doesn't assign too much hw and test/quizzes are very easy. Hard to understnand sometimes but he always makes sure that you understand what's being taught. Always reviews any questions on hw before taking the test. Easy A class as long as you do the hw and show up for the tests :) 10/10 recommend.

OK, if you're not good at math (like me) take him! He is funny, adorable and really helpful and makes the tests easier than the homework! Show up, do the homework (I used the previous edition and it worked just fine), ask questions and pay attention and you will pass! Would 100% recommend and take again. TAKE HIM!

He's great! HW harder than tests, but do it early and ask for problems in class so you can get the right answers & methods. I didn't use the book except to get the hw problems, his lectures are good; take notes for everything he writes. Study your notes and hw problems! He's cute and funny! Be attentive & you should do well. Made me like math!

Lectures are usually shorter than the class but stays until the class is suppose to be over just incase you need help. About 30 homework problems per chapter, 6 tests plus a final, each test is about 10 questions long. Same questions as the hw maybe even easier! Love his nerdy sense of humor! Will definitely miss him!

Great Professor!!! took him for a short term class and he did not overwhelm us with every little problem in the book. I actually learned the basic concepts and ended up with a high A in the class! VERY GLAD I TOOK PROFESSOR SI! I highly recommend him for any math class!!!!!

By far the worst professor i have ever had, he says all tests are exactly like the H.W but their is not one problem on the test that is similar to the H.W and therefore get's very confusing,and when you approach him for a question his face expression is like common you don't know this? and he uses a deep rude tone with you, avoid if you can.
