I was fooled by the reviewers here and took his class. He's a great person but so unorganized, old and slow. We didn't know what and when things are due. Literally everyone in the class was unmotivated and disappointed. Doesn't inspire or push you to work on your art. However, he provides everything so you don't have to spend a penny on this class.

I've never had a professor find so much joy in the art his students create. He really found things that he absolutely loves in every single piece. I don't think he's ever given negative feedback to anyone. I once asked him what my grade was in class and he said "it would be a CRIME to get you anything lower than an A+++++" WHO SAYS THAT. love him

"So many papers" literally because he's an art teacher. Foundation art was amazing. He can talk for an hour about the origins of the specific paper we use, so get ready for that. Very sporadic, but he's an amazing guy. As long as you do your assignments, you're going to get an A. He is very lenient on late work

He's totally my favorite professor I've ever had. I've never felt more encouraged and proud of my art than I was when I was in his class. He always pointed out so many things that he loves that you did. It was great because usually, professors tell you what's wrong. His style of teaching what you did right just made it so enjoyable to learn.

Stan is an awesome very nice teacher. I learned a lot about different media's (ie. Charcoal, graphite pencils, India ink, different types of paper) also some different techniques like toning paper and erasing to make your design, some shading. I would've liked to learned more techniques. He supplies everything! And 90% of work is done in class.

Stan is a great guy to have as an Art teacher. I heard some good things about him, and when I met him he a was a friendly chap, and explained a lot about his class and art. He knows a lot about various art techniques and has a lot of experience. I do wish that he were a little more hands-on with help, but he has a lot of students.

Stan is the best professor that i've had. He genuinely cares and is very understanding. I never finish his assignment in class or on time but he would understand as long as you finish it when every work is due. He is hilarious and generous, but most of all i love the fact that he gives you time to work on your stuff. Hands down my favorite prof :)

Stan's the best teacher I've ever head;not just on a collegiate level, but in my entire academic career. he gets that everyone has their own way of learning and growing and all of his projects are open ended and allow for creativity and interpretation. I had some personal issues and he was understanding and helpful. can't recommend him enough.

No teacher can compare with Stan. A wise man with a true heart and really knows his stuff. If you've taken other art classes with different teachers, you would even treasure Stan more. The best teacher ever! Many blessings to him! By the way, he has a very cute dog.

Very chill! General pencil drawing first weeks, and then about 5 big assignments. Although this is a Foundation Drawing class, Stan takes this class to the next step. In this case, it would be Illustration. Kick back class since he doesnt mind if you use electronic devices, as long as you do great work. Highly recommend this class!

Stan has wonderful heart. Very amiable and sees the best in everyone. I only wish that his class was more organized and informative. Students are not given enough info to print their projects independently. Basic studio maintenance and cleaning is overlooked in the curriculum, so the studio is a convoluted mess! Stan's critiques are very informed.
