Comment:
Yea Burns rocks-IN RECITATION. In recitation he explains everything perfectly while making everyone fall on the floor laughing. Lectures are ok but not as good.

Comment:
The lectures can be boring but that's due to the subject, and Burns tries to keep it engaging with his jokes. I think he's a really nice guy, and generally a good professor, but he does occasionally make mistake in his example problems that can be confusing. Taking the class with him was just fine, and he easily accommodates for any issues.

Comment:
Professor Burns do sometime makes the lecture sounds difficult. However he is super reachable after lectures, and he's very willing to explain any confusion you may meet. Spend more time into this class and it shall be a easy pass. (i admit it's not that easy to get an A rank)

I took solids (226) and materials (280) with him and I think he's great... His lectures are hard to follow but his tests are similar to the homework and workshop problems and if you can do the practice exam type problems, you'll do fine. Burns is really understanding and just a great guy. Enjoy!

Very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. Very helpful one on one, a bit confusing with the organization of lecture notes. Good jokes.

Never expect to take coherent notes. Disheveled, and unorganized. Nevertheless a pretty understanding guy. (In our class he pushed back the homeworks almost everytime we asked). Goes off on tangents a lot.

Shouldn't be the chair. Very unorganized. Tests were a surprise not related to course material. Reviews don't help.

Comment:
Seems jovial, but really is stubborn, not too interested in the students, and is often unclear. About 20 minutes before the end of almost every lecture, he would go off on some calculations/problem and leave almost all the students scratching their heads.
