Make sure to bring your lab coat and glasses every week for lab. He is very systematic so refer to the syllabus. Each week you will hand in a lab report sheet, post lab and the next experiment's pre-lab. If there was data you have to input the sig-figs on a program he wrote and print it out (ugh!). Hard to ask him questions so pay attention!

He is a good choice for gen chem 1 and 2. He gives out sheets with topics we need to know for the test and gives out an insane amount of extra credit. He also curves at the end of the semester! His final is exactly like the 3 tests he gave throughout the semester so don't study anything else. MUST read the textbook and do practice problems!

Professor Goldberg is very rude! He goes off topic too much and gives hard exams. If you take him you must read the textbook and study on your own because he isn't much help. He reads off of his power points which usually have mistakes on them. He isn't helpful in any way. He makes you feel like you don't know anything and will put you on the spot.

I wouldn't take this mans class again. He expects a lot and is very rude. An extremely heavy workload and difficult testing. I didn't do well on the tests or quizzes, but I did a large majority of my work and still got an A. OWL assignments are extremely difficult. He wants you to do well on the papers and his scrapbook assignment. Participate!

If you're overall a decent science student who doesn't mind studying, you'll be fine. OWL assignments are long, don't put them off until the last day. His tests are hard so study in advanced. He's awkward and sometimes hard to approach but helpful during office hours. Gives at least 50 points of extra credit each semester. Attendance is "optional"

Genuinely he is the rudest professor I've ever had at Adelphi or any other school. He constantly interrupts students when asking questions, he is absolutely unaccommodating for any personal matters, and for a CHEM100 class for nonmajors, he treats it as an advanced chemistry course. He seems nice, but when questioned about anything, he is just mean

Goldberg was probably one of the most rude professors I've ever had in my life. His exams are INSANELY difficult. One positive is he is somewhat helpful in office hours, but if you show any confusion he rolls his eyes and treats you as if your dumb. He makes everything so much more difficult then it needs to be. Definitely don't take him!

His lectures are basically off of the slides, doesn't do most equations, so you think everything's relatively easy. Then he give's tests that are extremely difficult. He gives a few extra credit opportunities though. He's not quite approachable.

I had the luck not taking him for lecture. But I was in his lab. An extremely rude human being. I felt like he tried his best not to give us any chances to get good grades. I think EVERYONE doesn't like him. I hope this help: AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Hard grader. Is not very clear on tests. Reading the textbook is a must, if you are planning on taking him because he does not really explain things. Hard to talk to outside of class. And goes off on multiple tangents about his personal life. Will never let you out early.

Don't take him!!! He never let out early, very hard to approach, doesn't answer questions and doesn't allow class participation. Unclear tests and very little opportunity to do extra credit. I wouldn't take a class with him again!

He oftentimes is not clear during lecture, gets slides straight from textbook. lab is the worst with goldberg. He uses a computer program he designed for students to input values calculated from labs. its SOhard to use and his lab reports are a lot of work. he takes off points for the MOST insignifcant things. dont take him for lab ever.

He is a great professor. Was nervous to take him before the class from the reviews on here. But he is actually AMAZING and teaches really well. I'd take any class taught by him.

This was probably the worst teacher I've ever had in my life. He doesn't curve, he grades hard, he makes his tests extremely difficult, and he's all over the place. The test avg for my entire class was 65 and below, just goes to show that way more than half of the class was failing his tests. DON'T RECOMMEND TAKING HIM!!!

His lectures are boring and right off the slides, and his voice puts me to sleep. He doesn't explain anything well. Does not allow you to look at your phone or he calls you out in front of the class. His tests are a lot easier than the quizzes. He is a tough grader with his reaction papers and expects it to be perfect.

literally the worst professor i have ever had. he is rude and his lectures are so boring. he gives you a quiz almost every week and its all fill in the blank and so hard. tests aren't as hard and he does give extra credit but literally do not take him avoid at all costs. just not a nice human being

Attendance is mandatory but you won't fail if you don't go to class bc he puts his slides online. Reading them outside of class is the same as being in lecture bc he does not explain anything in class since he mostly talks about his life. Textbooks extremely useful but I didn't do the optional homework just looked over chapters before tests.

Goldberg explains things well in lectures. Make sure you actually go to them! Reading the textbook before he starts the chapter is recommended and his tests are definitely un-crammable. I recommend hand-writing your notes during class and participating in 'on-board' questions. Also, tons of OWL assignments.
