If I've come to understand correctly, you can only take him the first year of architecture before gateway. Take advantage. He inspires you to think more about your designs and works with you through your progress. Definitely recommend.

Really good professor but the only problem that students complain about is that he talks a lot but actually he doesn't. Each word he says worth a lot if you will take him seriously.

As one can tell fro reading all the other comments, he's a chatty teacher, but defiantly enjoyable & solo helpful in setting a foundation to become a good quality designer. Definitely take his craftsmanship critique into account in all your projects b/c he becomes a harder grader towards the end; also time management is key!

excellent first year instructor - better than all the rest by far. I had him for my first design class and after two years at this school no one comes close by comparison. listen to what he says - he won't tell you an answer but makes YOU think. I would take him again.

Very nice teacher, talks nonstop but what he says is very interesting and he usually helps you with ideas if you need it. VERY HARD class to get an A in. Craftsmanship is really important. Would reccomend Temple or Webb for design I.

Yes, he does talk a lot but if you listen you might learn something. Time consuming, but then again it's a design class. Passionate about what he teahes. Craftsmanship gets you way better grades. I really liked him and i'm taking him again for Design II.

Like everyone said, talks a LOT and his class is pretty hard, BUT, after having taken another design professor, I appreciate him so much more. I usually prefer easy classes, but I'd take him again because I learned SO much more from him. He can be kinda vague, and you can't be trying to do exactly what he suggests; they're just suggestions!

I had him 2 years ago, and after dealing with other professors in this major, i would take him again in a heartbeat. I know he likes to talk, but i learned more in the one semester i had with him than i have in the past year and a half, if your new to design school i would definitely recommend taking him as early as possible.

Temple is good with ideas but DO NOT take them literally, meaning if he says do this, this, and that, DO NOT actually do them jus take them into consideration and apply them to what you already have. My friend did everything he said and she ended up changing her designs 3 and 4 times making her get bad grades and stressing her out. TALKS ALOT.

nice guy. he does talk ALOT, but its insightful useful things. after about 30min of him talking you can tune him out, starts to repeat himself. gives good ideas and starting points, but makes them vague so you have to use yours own judgements.

professor temple is the kind of person you do not want to have to encounter on the street, becasue he will not hesitate to lecture you on the anecdotes of his childhood and other "adventures"... for hours on end.
