Comment:
Professor Blusk is a nice guy who makes himself available outside of class. The lectures can be boring but are essential to doing well. His midterms are not too bad but the final is extremely difficult. Luckily, he curves generously so if you get Bs or high Cs on the exams and terrible on the final (like everyone else), you should get atleast an A-

He gave out the final exam which was extremely hard. Even though your mid-term exams grades were much higher than class average, you'll still get a bad grade if you did not do final well (there was a very small, harsh, and ridiculous curve). His exam average was 50-60s, and he expected you to get 93 to receive an A. EXCUSE ME?

Blusk understands electromagnetism but forgets that his students don't. He wastes his time on irrelevant examples that don't help us understand the topic. The exams were extraordinarily difficult. Hands down the most challenging class I've taken. Required for a B.S. in physics.

Professor Blusk is definitely one of the best professors that I have had in Syracuse. Yes the physics material can sometimes be dry, especially since most of us are not physics majors but he does his best to keep our attention. He is extremely nice so be sure go to his office hours and get to know him. Overall, great teacher and even better person!

this is the worst class i have ever taken. he went through the material too fast and didn't give enough examples and the examples never helped

It's really hard to get yourself to class everyday and stay on top of the material but if you do this class will be easy. He gives you credit for attendance and moves at a good pace. He's super nice if you go in and see him. The online hw is usually harder than his material but I think it helps your grade overall. His exams are fair and labs are ea

Professor Blusk knows his stuff for sure, but he's used to teaching 500 lvl courses and makes this course very intense. Online homeworks aren't too helpful, as they provide the application/math questions before the actual conceptual ones. His exams are challenging and misleading because his lectures are make you believe the exams will be easier.

Professor Blusk tries pretty hard, and his lectures really are both clear and engaging. His demands for test questions and homework seemed a little unreasonable in light of what we had done in class, though. Grading was harsh, but in the end there was a huge curve.

Very clear. Very fun. Has a keen insight into the nature of the science he teaches. His demos are cool and educational, and he is always excited to hear others' takes on the subjec at hand. Looked forward to his classes.

this class was really hard. the labs have no relevance to the course material or to the tests. lectures make it seem like the tests are going to be easy but they are not. he did give a huge curve at the end of the term

avoid this class like the guy you owe money to! aside from being delusional (he thinks everyone who takes the class actually WANTS to be there) he is also boring and annoying. even the TAs hate him.

professor blusk thinks that his students are physicists. he goes too fast and teaches concepts that are over the majority of the classes' heads. the class is supposed to be about science of the 21st century, but instead it's about these obscure concepts.
