Comment:
His teaching style is so difficult. Goes off on random tangents about the history of math. Spends way to much time in lecture explaining why something works, instead of how to actually solve a problem. He also gets excited and his accent gets very heavy making him hard to understand. Don't take him unless you know everything about calculus already

He spends very little time in class explaining what you actually need to know for the tests because he spends too much time on theory. His past exams are very reflective of what will be on the exams. Overall it's not too bad, but be ready to teach yourself some of the concepts.

He is not helpful at all. I start to understand a concept and then he just goes on and ruins it fairly quickly. It's hard to understand him and almost impossible to keep track of how he's getting to a solution. If I had a choice, I would most certainly not have him as a professor again? Being a nice guy will not help the students learn

He's good at explaining material. Tests are easy if you study his examples in lecture and the old exams he posts online. Attendance isn't mandatory and he posts lecture material online, but homework and tests are a lot easier if you show up and listen to/watch him do examples.

Alberto is a great professor, in my opinion he goes over every problem in great detail and gives so many examples. His tests are EXACTLY like he previous exams that are posted online. Just study these and you will do fine. He is from Italy so he has an accent, but I was able to understand everything he said. He's funny too. Definitely recommend.

I usually have no idea what he's trying to say and the more he tries to explain it, the more confused I get. He skips several steps when talking and to me the tests are hard and so confusing. I would not recommend taking the class with him!

Comment:
Dr. Corso is a really great person and is really nice in his office hours and is always trying to crack jokes during lecture to make it more enjoyable. However, his accent gets in the way a little and he is always showing the longest possible way to solve a problem which is really confusing and recitation isn't that helpful.

He is sweet and understanding one-on-one, but his lectures are confusing and he makes things harder than they have to be. He tends to skip some steps while doing examples so it's hard to go along with what he's saying. If I had a choice, I would not have him has my professor again.

Don't get me wrong, I really like Dr. Corso as a person. I attended his office hours many times to get help. But if it wasn't for my TA and a strong work ethic I wouldn't have done well. He explains things in lectures far more difficultly than necessary. Don't waste money on the book.

Dr. Corso is a great professor and definitely knows the material. Sometimes he explains things in difficult-to-understand ways, but his lecture slides are very helpful, he goes over homework questions in class, his accent is easy to understand, and he's willing to help! He's a great professor and I would take one of his classes again.

What to expect on exams is really clear. There's always a bonus at the end of exams, which always saved me from a silly mistakes made on the exams. He was pretty funny and definitely cares that you understand the material. If you took calculus in high school, you'll be fine.

Math has never been my strongest subject, so I was extremely nervous for calc 2. Dr. Corso made the 8am class extremely enjoyable, and he explained everything perfectly. By far the best math professor I have ever had. The class was still difficult, but make sure you go to class and you will be successful.

I did have this as an online class and the video lectures were painful. He accent is very thick and hard to understand...not to mention he likes to go into superfluous detail on details that are far from important. You can skip half the video and get the same knowledge. The final was supposed to be a review and it was definitely not.
