if you didn't do everything EXACTLY like he and his TA want you will lose tons of points on both homework and exams. Homeworks have nothing to do with lectures and lectures have barely anything to do with the exams.

Had him for Hypersonic Aerothermo. Almost didn't take the class because of bad reviews both on here and from students. SO glad I did! Learned a ton. Relates concepts back to real projects. Yes the class is hard but he really knows what he is talking about and can explain it well. One of the best professors I have had.

Comment:

The title of "hypersonics" in any course immediately means something is cool. It's too bad this professor's notes consisted of scrawled equations and incoherent ramblings. Even his grad student got no better than a 60% on an exam! The other students got an average of 25%, and there weren't many dummies at this level! Terrible professor.

Wanna have a rainforest's worth of handouts and be baffled by lectures? Then prof Schneider is perfect. He thinks everyone else is stupid and you can't speak 2 words of a speech before he interrupts you.
