To be honest, this guy doesn't organize his class well. It's called "personal finance" but most of the stuff you won't use for another decade. The blackboard is a mess and there's massive overlap between videos. Sometimes he assigns 10 hours of videos a week. It's a stupidly named class with a professor who needs two TA's to run blackboard

He teaches well in lecture and can be funny or at least interesting to listen to. The class is structured well so if you go to class, review the lessons he has made online, and do the fairly easy assignments/quizzes you should get an A.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS ONLINE. This professor does not care about his online students. The lectures he sent us are lectures from almost 2 years ago and, when he adds stuff to his current lectures, he doesn't tell the online students and expects them to know what to do. And when I asked for help, he told me to drop the class

Overall, would not recommend for gen-ed unless you have to or want to learn about stocks and retirement. Difficult class for non-business majors. Test have practically nothing to do with lecture notes and are just over in-depth knowledge. QUIZZES ADD UP, so do well on ALL of them. Prof doesn't respond to email. Lectures are actually interesting

TA's think they are better/"smarter" than you and will treat you as if. Grade's are ridiculous in this course, no curve, tough class, so the average is a C or D i'm sure. TA's will respond to e-mail, professor not so much.

Seems like a good guy that knows what he is talking about. Doesn't respond to emails quickly if at all. Watch for TA's that think they are gods gift to students and want to "challenge" the class.

I'm taking the class online, and it's a lot of time, but the information will be useful and although I'll never meet the professor, he is upbeat, cheerful, and sometimes funny in the videos/audios/textbook. And the TA is very helpful if you are lost.

Sugato is awesome. You will learn things in this class that are seriously useful, not just a bunch of BS. This is definitely my most interesting class. Sugato is great to talk to after class if you have questions and going over current events in the stock market at the beginning of class is very interesting.

This class was pretty hard mainly because there are so little points, so get the small ones while you can. Always attend class because the quiz points add up. The most helpful part of the class was the TA Adam. Go to his office hours before you do the TVMs! he goes over every type of problem.

Took this class online. Hated the lectures used the book for everything and didn't even bother listening to the lectures online unless I needed them for the quiz. Absolutely hated the time value money (TVM) section of the course because you can't teach something like that online. Don't take this class if you need an elective.
