Overall, Dr. Andersen is a fair grader, and passing her class is well within reach if one puts in the effort. For a course that is, arguably, not needed in the real world, she does give a lot of assignments. This course should be great for people interested in the arts (e.g., theatre, music, literature, etc.).

Comment:

Enjoyed taking this course online. The essays were so easy, as well as the course work and the discussion boards! Got 100% on all of my essays. Quizzes are not timed, the final is the same exact questions from the quizzes. My final grade was a 98.6% and I spent an average of an hour a week on all of the course work. Definitely recommend her course!

I took this class online and I enjoyed her as a teacher. 4 essays (2 250 word, 2 500 word), weekly discussion board post, several multiple-choice quizzes. Very clear assignment directions and she gives you a nice task outline every week on the Angel front page, something not all teachers bother to do. Would take her again.

I must say if you apply yourself you will recieve a perfect grade. Four essays, Quizzes, DB and a final that you can use your text books. It's a simple class. And Dr. Anderson is good with responding back to your emails.

I took this class online and strongly recommend it!!! It was very easy. There were 4 short essays and discussion posts and a final. The final was open book in the learning center and was comprised of old quiz questions. Definitely not a difficult class!

Took the online version of the course and was dreading it. It turned out straight forward. Each week you log on and do the work for that week then log off. there was little/no complexity. People complain about essay grading. I had no trouble with the essays. You're expected to write at a college level (no grammar errors).

Yes, there are four short essays, but they only had to be about 200 words long. 1 was paraphrasing & 1 was summarizing which were very simple. I got perfect on all 4 essays b/c I followed her very clear directions... oh and used spell check! The quizzes are open book & are not timed. For the final I just went over all the quizzes & passed!

Pretty straight forward class, weekly quizzes, discussion post weekly, 4 short essays and one documented essay. None of it was difficult like the poster below me made it out to be. If you can't handle this class you probably shouldn't be in college. About as easy as a Humanities class is going to get. Only complaint is slow returning essay grades.

I took this class online and it was HARD! Definately not an easy A. We had to write 4 short essays that were extremely hard and she grades them very hard. I think I got C's and low B's on every essay mainly because I didn't spell things right. Also there is a fianl documented essay thats VERY hard and the final exam was hard. I don't recommend her

Didn't care for this class or the teacher. I took this class online and hated it. There's a lot of essays to do and some were difficult. And you used 3 different books and bounced back and forth between them-annoying! Her quizzes were easy, but the proctored exams were difficult. Took a week or 2 to get email back too. Would never take her again.

Very easy class online. Not a lot of work, takes maybe an hour to complete everything per week. Final is open book, 20 multiple choice and 2 essay questions. Slow to respond to e-mails, so don't bother sending one. Very easy.

I'm taking it online. Very easy class. Only 4 short essays, a few quizzes (all open book and not timed), and discussion posts once a week. Each week's assignment is due Sunday night. There is one 1000 word essay due at the end of the semester, but it is on any topic you have already studied.

Dr. Andersen is an great teacher for online humanities. So far, it's been very easy. A usual week's assn.'s include reading a chapter from the textbook, posting to a discussion board, doing a quiz, and occasionally turning in an essay. Overall, Dr. Andersen has been very helpful, and has given me all A's. Take her if you take Humanities online!!

I had her online humanities class and it was sooo much fun! She made her topics really interesting and had us answer each others discussions in different ways that once or twice was a little unclear. The books were super interesting though sometimes chapters ran long. Great teacher I highly recommend
