Comment:

Dance Appreciation was a very easy class to pass and even finish with an A. Susan is really annoying though; she is very self-absorbed, calls people out, and hates when you ask questions even though she is never clear with instructions. You basically sit and watch dance videos so it gets boring but it is really easy to get a good grade.

Comment:

This was the most time consuming class I have taken. Hours of videos to watch a week, and you have to write on them. Tests were ridiculously hard, as there are no lectures just videos to memorize. You also have to pay and attend 2 dance recitals, plus buy the book. Wouldn't recommend for non-dance majors.

Took this class accelerated and it definitely wasnt enjoyable but an easy A for a fine arts credit. Lectures can be painfully boring and you have to study for the tests but she tells you everything you need to know and as long as you show up and somewhat pay attention, youll be fine. 2 tests, 1 project, 2 performances to go to and no final

Dr. Anderson is a nice lady, and I've heard the in-person class is a lot easier. Whatever you do, DO NOT TAKE THE ONLINE SECTION OF DANC101! The work is really easy and manageable but the tests are outrageously hard, while individuals I know in the classroom setting said their tests were extremely easy. Danc101 or Anderson are ok, just not online!

Professor is all over the place. You can tell this class is not her main focus. Its an easy A but you can get easily annoyed with the changing of the syllabus and poor communication.

Mrs. Anderson can be very intimidating but she truly cares about her students. This class is a really easy A and she leaves the room when you take tests. The class is mainly watching videos about dance. You have to go to two dance performances and complete one project. No final exam

I hated the class but if you attend and do what she says you'll have an A. Sometimes she made us actually dance which was terrible. Go to all of the dance performances and don't under estimate the tests (only 2 of them). She only took attendance some of the time.

Anderson is extremely intimidating. I hated going to class. She calls out people all the time and embarrasses them. She let the person beside you grade your exam though, so its an easy A. Just a warning though: she's annoying and expects too much out of students.

Mrs. Anderson loves dance and you can see that when she teaches. In class, you mostly watch videos and she will skim over the notes. You have to go to 2 different performances that you will be given a test on. Take detailed notes. 2 other tests on info. What worked for me was to re-write all the info and just read over it. Got 100's on both exams.

Need at 95% to get an A, and while tests are fact based it's still difficult to get a 95. Attendance is determined by sending emails with answers to open ended questions. She made me nervous to be around her because you never knew who she would call out that day and embarrass.

She is HORRIBLE. My mood would literally get worse when she walked into the room. She makes it nearly impossible to get an A, promised about 30 points of extra credit for things we did and I never received a point of it. She spends class talking about how great she is instead of helping for tests. Seriously she sucks, do not take her.

The course may be easy, but she is one of the single worst people I have ever experienced in my life. Some days she would be so nice, and others she would call a student selfish and embarrass them in front of the entire class for asking about a grade. Shes so rude and has zero understanding for her students. Save yourself while you can, avoid her.

Anderson is quite possibly the most self-absorbed professor/person I have ever met in my entire life, but her class is a joke. Grade your own tests and accepts late work. The things she says are priceless. Don't take anyone else, she's the best.

Very knowledgeable! Class was never boring, because her personality was so funny to me. Hated going to dance performances, her exams are easy, all multiple choice. Overall great teacher!

She is ridiculous, BUT take it with a grain of salt. People get really pissed about how absurd she is as a woman, but if you just laugh at her and attend the class with something to pass the time, it makes it much better. It's extremely easy, the only challenge is going to performances and dealing with her self-praise.

Useless class, but the easiest Fine Arts credit. Try to get in the big lecture class, she didn't take attendance for the first half of the semester. Tests are really easy, go to the class before the test, she basically reads the test. Have to go to performances but the reviews for them are easy.
