If you read carefully and participate you'll skate through the entire semester, until the last paper, where every single person will be told to make their draft more controversial. Does she have that printed on a rubber stamp? Take class with POV that she REALLY leans more on the English than the Law and Rights part and it's good.

Arabella Lyon was a fantastic teacher this semester. She encouraged my class to think more critically about influences which affect us every day. She gave many chances to regrade or submit assignments in late and was a fair grader. I hope to take more courses with her in the future.

Honestly if you work hard, show up, do the work, you'll get a good grade. One problem with her is that she tends to be pretty reluctant and unwilling to help a student who might have a bad situation - which was frustration. She's not very understanding and not giving, and tends to play favorites.

hard to get a good grade if you are not extremely liberal and play to her vanities. unclear and is often disorganized. makes you buy her terrible book and use it as a reference on nearly every paper. made a criticism class into a gay human rights class. extremely unhelpful in office hours. strict attendence policy. dont take any class she teaches
