Prof. Locke is one of the most caring professors at Baruch. The class is incredibly interesting, and I always looked forward to attending class. It's a shame that this was her last year teaching at Baruch. Otherwise, I'd say that taking her class is a no-brainer.

Dr. Locke's class is engaging and interesting, but also demanding. The exams are each 3 essay questions but you know what to expect because Dr. Locke gives out the questions a week prior to the tests; it is your job to know the material. If you want to take a course where you will want to learn more but also be challenged, this is the right course.

So much work. Have to read 2 full books, plus case studies every week. Each exam has 3 essays, which we need to write in 1 hour and 20 mins, leaving your hand aching. Locke may seem sweet at first, but can be tough.

Everyone should appreciate the knowledge, experience, and kindness that Professor Locke brings to class everyday. Simply put, if you pay attention in class, take notes on her lectures, and actually put in time to study instead of being lazy, then the workload is manageable and it will be easy to get good grades. You will also learn a lot.

Only take this class if you like to struggle. Psychology should be a fun subject to take, especially if it is not your major. This class was definitely not fun. There is no reason to give students three written exams. It is a last century approach to teaching. Also, portfolio of papers should be shorter.

Dr. Locke was extremely supportive and helpful.. and really gets the material across. The tests are essay format, and Dr. Locke does not grade harshly at all. Go to class, and pay attention to the examples and movies and then you'll be fine. Dr. Locke is an amazing woman and person and you should take this class.

The best lecturer for a subject that seems dry at first. Tests are difficult but you really only have yourself to blame since she gives you the questions. Her portfolio is not something to leave to last minute either. Lots of textbook reading neccessary to do well on exams.

For the testes you are provided with anywhere from 5 to 9 essay prompts with you must prepare for the test, three will appear on the test. The tests require extensive studying to gather the information. Once the information is gathered you are expected to essentially memorize that information and regurgitate it on the test. NOT AN EASY CLASS!!!

Dr. Locke expects students to gain a thorough understanding of the subject and be able to communicate this knowledge through writing essays. If one wants to get an A one must put in time to read and memorize the slides, studies, and textbook info. Then one must put together the vast quantity of information in a clear and precise essay.

Professor Locke is amazing! She is passionate about the subject and truly cares about her students. She makes the lectures interesting with lots of videos and activities. The class is easy as long as you don't procrastinate on the portfolio, which is the only big assignment. She even gives you the test questions in advance.

Do not take her!!!! She does not explain well and is very tough on grades. She said there will be short answer questions on the midterm and it was completely different. I went to her office to ask some questions and she was very unfriendly and I left!!!!!!!!!

Professor Locke is an excellent professor. Even though lectures are almost two hours long, it never passes slowly. The material is interesting and she makes it even more FUN by showing cool videos in class. There are 3 exams, but she gives 5-6 essay questions a week before and you write about 3 on the test. There are readings, and a portfolio due.

Professor Locke is an amazing professor. Psychology was the longest class I had this semester yet somehow the class just flew. You can tell that she really enjoys what she does. She's super sweet and always willing to take questions. Her exams are fair, especially because she gives the questions beforehand. I highly recommend her class.

Prof. Locke is one of the best psych professors at Baruch. She is engaging and her passion for what she does is so apparent! If you are serious about your psych major (like me) take ANY and ALL classes she offers. You will work hard and learn a great deal. I love her clinical approach, too! She's simply fantastic and caring.

Dr. Locke rocks my world. I love her classes and haven't learned that much in such a short period of time in my life. She is amazing and I recommend her classes to everybody. But you gotta take it seriously, she is a huge fan of homework and readings. However, everything is useful and almost entertaining.
