Professor Rzhevsky's class was the usual Spanish class. She does call on people without them raising their hands. However, she explains everything and is there for you. She was a sweet lady.

Lots of HW but its easy. 2 presentations. Somewhat of an annoying class but should be an easy A depending on your experience with the language. Make sure you participate because it'll make the class go by quicker. Otherwise it will feel like an eternity.

She may come off as hard, but she really does help out a student if they have an issue. Expect a lot of homework her; Expect quizzes to be 4 pages long. It seem more like a midterm rather than "quizzes" but honestly if you look at the syllabus she gives you a lot of chances to make your grade from B- to an A atleast.

Best Spanish professor! She speaks so clearly and slow to make sure you understand. She prepares you so well for all of her exams; her review sheets are basically the exam. Structured very much like a high school Spanish class. Easy A if you put in some effort!

She comes off seeming hard, but she's actually really easy. She assigns all this homework, but she'll stop collecting it halfway through. She makes really helpful review sheets and her exams are almost word for word from those sheets. The only thing you really have to worry about is the oral presentation at the end. I got an A and barely tried!

She is a wonderful lady with a very kind heart. Extremely clear and very helpful. She is concerned with the needs and understanding of her students and always listened to what we had to say. I learned more in this class than any other spanish class I have ever taken before.

Her quizzes and exams weren't too hard but there is a quiz every week and so much h.w. She's not very good at teaching and is impatient. She is extremely annoying!! I agree with the other students she is the SPANISH NAZI and she picks on the students in class. I hated her class.

The subject material was very hard and I didn't think she did a good job teaching it. Many times I needed to sit down and look over what we learned for the day just so I could teach myself. Her tests are ok, but be prepared to do a LOT of group work and homework.

I was scared after reading all the reviews but she's a great teacher. Taking spanish in the summer 3 days a week 2 and a half hours at a time could have sucked and it was fine. She was sooo patient with us and helped whenever i had a q's, super understanding, i think she's a great professor, way better then Solar, try her!!

I went into this class skeptical of the professor due to the ratings on this website. I was really surprised! She's a great professor. It may look like she demands a lot, but everything is in preparation and it's really not THAT much work. In class she's very nice and helpful also. Would take again and hope she's teaching 212 next semester.

Definitely a ****. The class was boring as hell, and she makes you do one oral presentation. That said, I had a good time in the class, despite her, and it's an easy A/B to fill a DEC requirement. The woman never bothered me in class, but I could just sense that I would not like her outside of the room. Some of the material is worth knowing, but most of the lectures and reading are an absolute bore.
